Pros: Easy to prime, easy to spray, a snap to clean.
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: easy to use to save yourself money painting you house. The XR5 can be used indoors or out. The Graco website will also answer most of your questions.

I purchased the XR5 at Home Depot to spray paint the exterior of my house and saved $1000 painting myself. I looked around and had heard bad comments about the Wagner sprayers so I was looking at Graco sprayers.
I had a hard time deciding which Graco sprayer to get. The magnum DX was about $100 cheaper than the XR5 but I was unsure if it was up to the task so I had to choose between the XR5 and XR7. The XR7 is nearly $100 more than the XR5 and comes with a stand, 1/8 horsepower motor, and a 50 foot spray hose instead of the XR5's 25 foot hose. Graco really doesn't advertise the XR5 as being able to spray exterior of homes, but if you watch the videos on their website, you will see them spray the exterior of a house.
I bought the XR5 and an additional 50 foot spray hose. I was spraying exterior latex paint on my 2500 sq ft house and did it in about 4 hours. The XR5 worked like a champ. Graco includes a DVD that describes the operation of the sprayer, setup, cleaning and troubleshooting as well as how to spray paint. The XR5 is powerful enough that you do not have to thin exterior latex paint to spray, just suck the paint out of the bucket and straight into the sprayer.
Clean up of the XR5 is a snap! Just hook the supply line up to a garden hose and turn the water on and spray as you would painting and the XR5 wile clean itself. The XR5 also has 2 in line filters to trap paint impurities so they have to be removed and cleaned separately.
Graco has a lot of accessories for the sprayer from extra hose lengths, to a power roller attachment. I also purchased a spray extensions to sprayer my eves better.
I can see the XR5 lasting a long time and it is a quality product. The XR5 paid for itself the first time I used it. I said earlier that it took me 4 hours to sprayer a 2500sq ft house, well it probably would have taken less if it wasn't a 2 story nearly 40 feet tall.
Buy the XR5 and save yourself some cash!
