I share my home with 2 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats, so it can be a real challenge trying to keep the odors away, or worse, eliminating the odors once they are there. Proctor and Gamble apparently went back to their roots when they elected to introduce the Febreze candle for elimination of odors in the household.
I am always excited by new products for keeping the house smelling nice and was definitely pleased when removing the candle from its cute little square container. My candle is Apple Spice & Delight.
The other available scents are:
~*~Meadows & Rain
~*~Spring & Renewal
~*~Linen & Sky
~*~Vanilla & Refresh
Apple Spice & Delight is as described-both fruity and spicy.
About the candle:
The candle is bright red (with a white center core for the odor elimination) and comes in a glass container. It is about 4" in height and about 3" across, so it is quite a nice size. It is nice looking so it fits in quite nicely with any decor; it does not appear to be placed simply to eliminate off-putting scents.
My experience:
I could smell the candle as soon as I opened the box it was packaged in. I really enjoyed it immediately, and my dogs and cats were also intrigued. As a rule I don't use candles as I have fears of the animals knocking one over and starting a fire. This candle can burn for 30 hours, but of course it has to be with someone overseeing it. Not only is the spicy, fruity scent appealing, it eliminated the household odors quite well.
Summing up:
I definitely recommend this Febreze product as long as someone uses caution as with any candle. I shall purchase in the future but would probably opt for one of the other scents just as a matter of personal preference. This scent is very nice however. I am giving the candle 4 stars and do highly recommend it. However, my favorite continues to be the Febreze NoticeABLES.
Cost and availability:
The Febreze candles will most likely be available starting next month (July) in the brick and mortar stores and the price will be between $6.99 and $7.99. I do not know when they will be available online, but I would assume shortly thereafter.
I was scent (sic) this candle at no cost by Proctor & Gamble in exchange for my objective review.
