The Bottom Line ------------------------------------------------
Someone Else lives at my house
I sure wish I knew who this was
So I could thank them
You see, if you walk by and knock something down
Don’t worry
Someone Else picks it up
It can lay there for days
Eventually Someone Else comes along and picks it up
Someone Else always picks up after everyone
There are lots of clean clothes at my house
Thanks to Someone Else
The floor is vacuumed, the cabinets are stocked with food
All because of Someone Else
I sure wish I could thank Someone Else
Someone Else pays the bills, and makes the money work out each month
Even if there’s not enough
Someone Else figures it all out
Maybe Someone Else goes without something
But doesn’t say a word
Just takes the money from a hiding place
And uses it to cover the shortfall
Gosh, I love having Someone Else around!
You see I just come home from a part-time job
Put my feet up, and watch television all day
Someone Else does the rest
In the morning, Someone Else gets the kids up
Feeds them, makes lunches
Gets them off to school
Someone Else helps with homework
Someone Else scheduled doctors appointments
and must remember when to give medicine
Every now and then if Someone Else slips up
Boy do I hear about it
I guess maybe I should do more
And not take that Someone Else for granted
Someone Else plans birthday parties
And buys the presents for them, as well as for Christmas
Someone Else plans vacations
Everything is done, I just have to jump in the car and go
What a great friend to have around!
You’d think the people in this house would do something for Someone Else
Maybe they would send Someone Else off for a weekend alone
Maybe let Someone Else have a break for a while
Show their appreciation
But it won’t happen
Who would make sure they yard is cleaned of the dog’s mess
If not Someone Else
Who else would?
