Epinions Boston Meet & Greet - Where's my Veggie Tray?

The Bottom Line Get to a meet & greet!
I recently decided to take a bit of a road trip (6 hours) and attend the Epinions Boston Meet & Greet. It was the perfect excuse needed for me to get away, meet some Epinions people, and take my 3 year old son to some fun places in Boston, like the New England Aquarium.
We stayed at the Amerisuites Boston Medford and got in sometime on Friday evening. Saturday during the day we took in local sights and then I headed to the Meet & Greet which was from 3-6pm.
Ok, truth is - that I am not always an "on time" person. I try my hardest to be, but for some reason or another tend to get delayed. In this case, I took my little guy to the Sea Lion show at the Aquarium at 1:30 so we didn't leave to go back to the hotel til around 2pm. I ended up not leaving the hotel near close to 3 or so. Then, I head to take a shuttle to the train station and commence my journey which included taking the Orange line, changing trains and then the green line to the Kenmore station in order to get to Jillians where the meet was being held.
The funny thing was that as I headed out of the turnstyles of the station I heard a voice behind me asking at the place you buy tokens.. "Do you know how to get to Jillians?". I turned around to find the one and only drdevience and her daughter, Spazure exiting the station. I called out to them and shared that I had directions but after looking about, I had a princess moment and hailed us a cab. We got there a few moments later and the good Doc treated Spazure and I to the ride. Thanks Doc!
Entering Jillians we climbed the mountain of 3 flight stairs following signs for Epinions. Someone had a lot of fun because as we got closer there were little Epi kids dolls posed along the way in nooks and crannies of the walls, along banisters, etc etc.
And then, there was no turning back.. we entered the room.
Where I was greeted by Garrett, Christal, Alexis and crew from Epinions. The room was set up with a handful of tables and chairs and some pool tables which held things like name badges, epi kids needing adoption, and Epinions beach towels. I did the obligatory mingling and took advantage of the open bar for a constant supply of club soda with a lime (I'm preggers, so no drinks for me!).
Lets talk about food here for a second... Epinions had ordered many munchie type finger foods for hungry site members to enjoy. Ahem.. I understand, according to Alexis - that the boys (Garrett - I knew it!), ordered the food. This was apparent from the lack of greenery, vegetables or cheese/cracker tray. Instead, there were things like beef on a stick, fried egg rolls, little beef wellington rolls, etc. You know, the stuff that they buy frozen and then heat up - Jillians is not known for their food, after all. The kind waitress (also pregnant), took pity on me and brought me a small tray of sesame crackers which were enough for sharing and several others enjoyed them with me.
There was a small talk given by Epinions staff about changes (like Nirav leaving), and introducing Randy - plus talk about message boards.. Then, it was back to socializing. Kristinafh and I got into a bit of trouble laying on the pool table and kidding around with member Speeddemon531 and there was much laughter and some exposing of body parts. Its all in good fun - though I did think that I might receive my pinkslip from Alexis shortly since I am not prim and proper enough to be a representative of Kids and Family.. let alone CL.
Seriously though - I had a blast and enjoyed talking with everyone that I did and putting faces to names. Aashok was kind enough to spot me 25 cents when I couldn't get into my purse from under the 9 Epinions kids that I brought back me, so I could board the T and get back to my hotel. And a super big thanks to Pinkants and Quasar for their company in getting me safely back to my hotel.
I had a great time at the Boston Meet & Greet. My only wishes to make it better would be if there would have been some more representation from the Kids and Family neck of the woods.. oh and of course - if there'd been a veggie tray!
