Horrid Food, Rude Owner! Avoid

Since we live in a small town, and it was our 39th anniversary, I decided to order from gourmetstation.com which is also a part of Delightful Deliveries. I would not recommend using them. Dinner with shipping was $119, and unlike the website says ...Return to opinion

I have purchased from Home Bistro, and it was real food, however the other stuff was worse than airline food.

Just to set the record straight on Home Bistro regarding preservatives. At Home Bistro we never "add" preservatives to our food. We do use some ingredients that may contain a preservative, and as most folks know that a recipe for a dish may contain up to twenty ingredients. Many people are confused by ingredient statments, and labels on food packages and are surprised to find so many lines on a food label and can't understand why so many things are in there if it is just mac and cheese for instance. You have to understand that enriched macaroni is a complex formula and the sauce is complex with the cheese and other dairy ingredients and then the bread crumb topping with that list of ingredients so we have to sublist the pasta, cheese, cream, bread and any other item used to make the product. Casual dining and fast food restaurants are not required by law to put the label in front of you before you order and consume the meal, if this was the case the public would be outraged. At Home Bistro we do strive to use ingredients that are preservative free, and have aggresivley sourced suppliers that work with us to procur the best ingredients.

I find it VH only because it served as a good warning not to use this service. $119 is no chump change, and the meal you were provided was obviously frozen dinner quality.
Maybe you should file a complaint via the BBB.

Not one place on the website is there any indication that the food is not made by their chefs. Kids probably get better school lunches.
