Dishonest, bad service

I did a lot of research and comparison shopping before ordering from Bedroom Furniture Direct. After narrowing my search, I called and inquired about the availability of the pieces I wanted, and was told that they were all in stock except for one item they claimed was discontinued, so I ordered a substitute item. On the day my order was scheduled to ship, I got an email that it was delayed and was given a new shipping date that was approximately two weeks later. I called once a week during that delay just to make sure everything was on schedule and was assured that it was. The day the order was supposed to ship, I called customer service and was told it was on the truck heading my way. Three days later I got an email with another delay due to backorder, meaning they lied to me three days earlier. I spent a lot of time making calls (which I thought was what they paid customer service people to do), spoke to the manufacturer, and learned that:
a. There was only one piece on backorder (the "substitute" piece I ordered when Bedroom Furniture Direct told me the one I wanted was discontinued) and that their estimate was 4 days after what Bedroom Furniture Direct had told me - yet another lie - and,
b. The original piece I was told was discontinued was still in production and in fact in stock.
The manufacturer told me that if I switched my order from the "substitute" piece I originally ordered to the piece I originally wanted, the entire order could be put on a truck to me the next business day. I called Bedroom Furniture Direct and told them how I had performed my own customer service on their behalf to find a way they could keep my business at no additional cost to either of us. They said they would make the change and get back to me the next business day. They never did. I called every day and finally got someone to respond, who gave me an update and told me they would get back to me to confirm the status of things later that day. Again, they did not call me back. Once they had lied to me a third time, I cancelled my order. They offered a bunch of excuses, but nothing that made up for the fact that they deliberately misled me, left me to find things out on my own, and ignored me. I'm probably even forgetting some things they did that prove bad customer service, but what I've discussed should suffice to demonstrate what kind of operation Bedroom Furniture Direct is.
They are dishonest and incompetent. I advise everyone to take their business to another vendor.
