| girl77's Full Review: Orion 12" Subwoofer 2NT 12DVC |
I had one of these subs in my old convertible off of a Soundstream Reference 700sx and it tore my car to shreds! From the outside the sub made my literally appear as if it were breathing! It caused my entire car to pulsate wildly. I could sit at a stop light and be vibrating so violently that I couldn't even see the light itself. With this sub I used to vibrate things off of peoples walls within a 1-2 block radius, seriously! My friend had two of them, in the Orion Extreme ported enclosure, inside of a 1988 Chevy Blazer and he hit 154 Db's using only 800 watts! These things can cause massive devastation within a vehicle, but they definitely hit the hardest within a ported or a vented enclosure. They also have good sound quality and can reproduce almost any bass track breathlessly. Another compatriot had one and just to see how long it could last he hooked it up off of 450 watts and drove it continuously at varying frequencies for five hours and it still worked perfectly afterwords! The thing which makes it difficult to believe is that the sub he did this to was already two and a half years old! If you want some serious, accurate bass, get these subs!
