Customer service could not be worse. Beware.

Pros: Again, coverage in this area (Colorado) better with Verizon than AT&t.
Cons: Read above. Absolutely miserable experience.
The Bottom Line: Avoid Verizon, period.

On a positive note. I am receiving better coverage through Verizon than I did with AT&T.
Concerning everything else:
I recently renewed my Verizon contract and purchased a new phone, and LG Env3.
The phone would not make or receive calls....a significant problem considering it is a phone. I took it back to the Verizon authorized dealer where purchased. They informed me I was wrong and that there was nothing wrong with the phone. They suggested that it was something I was doing, and that I keep a log of my unsuccessful phone calls. I really am fairly busy, and don't have time for such things, but.... I kept the phone for a few more days. Problem continued so I took it back. Reluctantly, they swapped it for another LG Env3. Same problem. Took it back....and the staff was entirely put out to have to deal with it. Between these visits, several calls were made to tech support, during which time they did a test of the phone...confirming the phone was defective. Eventually, another phone was swapped out. Same problem again. Tech support confirmed there had been a bad bunch of phones. Suggested I go directly to a non-authorized dealer, and straight to a Verizon store. They refusted to help. Called the regional manager...wouldn't help. Tech support again.... no help.
When all was said and done....over 15 visits to 4 different stores. Four calls with tech support, one call to regional manager, one email to tech support, five phones total.......a waste of 14 days without any phone service.
Finally, I tracked down the regional manager in person, a fifth phone was issued, different model, and service restored.
Never in my life have I been bounced around so many times. No one at any level wanted to take responsibility for anything. Costumer service could not have been worse. I mentioned to one salesperson that I had to fly out of town and needed, as in needed, a working phone by that time. Their response. "When you get to Washington, if you are still having the problem, stop by a Verizon store there and they will take care of it right away." The problem already existed....why is it the Verizon store on the other side of the country can deal with this but my local store can't? Absurd. Not only that, but I won't exactly have time for that kind of runaround on that trip to Washington.
Most irresponsible company ever. I will finish out my contract with them, and then switch....to anybody but them. I will also be taking my company with me. Avoid at all costs.
