When I first was introduced to Ebay I was thrilled to the fact that I found items there that I could not find in any local retail store or even in garage sales. The amount of merchandise and the prices on this site are incredible. If you are looking for an old toy or an an art painting that is well out of date you can be sure you can find it on Ebay.
Auctions start at the 3, 5, 7, or 10 day listing. If you are a seller you can start your bid from a penny and higher and if you are a buyer then you are in control of how much you want to spend on an item because you have the opportunity to place your bid at a maximum amount so your bid is protected. For example if you put in a maximum bid of $10.00 and another buyer puts in $9.99 you still are the current bidder because your maximum bid beats the bid the current bidder placed. The only time you are out bid is if a buyer comes along and bids over your maximum and you are no longer the current bidder and Ebay gives you an email stating this. At the end of any auction you are notified by Ebay stating that you won the auction and that the buyer and seller should contact each other to finalize the sale. There are a number of ways to purchase fast and safe from Ebay. The first is Pay pal, an online payment site where you can pay what you bought for and your item can go out the same day in some cases! Another way is bill point where you use your checking account or credit card to purchase your items. You may also send a check or money order. These payment options all depend on whether or not the seller accepts these forms of payments.
As far as the merchandise on Ebay well the choices are beyond your imagination! For example, I remember when I was growing up me and my brother collected He-man figures as a hobby. Well they were destroyed because our younger brother tore them apart but anyway I went on Ebay one day and typed in He-man in the search field and I was astonished at the results I received. Everything from the action figure toy line to accessories and books and cartoons on video that pertained to the subject. Items I thought that were gone forever still live in houses around. Incredible at the amount of stuff that was available. So if you are looking for an old record or an old toy or anything that you need you can be sure it is on Ebay.
Ebay has categories that include toys, art, electronics, computers, home accessories, games, antiques and everything else you may need. Ebay makes it easy to shop and find items in a click of the mouse because everything on Ebay is detailed and organized. You do not have to worry about anything when your on Ebay because they watch out for sellers and buyers of all types. They have a safe harbor section in case you are encountered with a certain buyer or seller that does not comply with the agreement of a final sale for example. If you bid on an item and win you are expected to pay for it and if refused to pay you will be given a warning. Four warnings for a non paying bidder and you shall be terminated from Ebay for good.
Ebay has become a site where people like you and me make a living selling merchandise from this site. They have their very own business on Ebay and day in and day out are making a tremendous amount of money. Whether they sell movies or books or maybe bed frames and shirts, they make a living on Ebay and it is an excellent idea for anyone to get started right now by signing up and creating a sellers account and start selling things around the house you do not need. You will be surprised at the out come. Do not forget to be very detailed in your description.
