The Bottom Line I think we should do these more often. They're terrific
Although it wasn't quite plan, it must have been Kismet or Karma because on July 22, Sunday the spirits or Gods or Fate in their/it's whimsical way brought four epinonaters together for their/it's amusement.
First, the plan or very merry un-plan was put together months ago starting with me, Susiewho. I began doing fundraisers for NFFAR several years ago. As part of this years fundraiser, my daughter (dannyzmom) flew up from Florida to donate her time and expertise as well as a portion of the earnings from Pampered Chef to the fundraiser.
Each of us is a member of Epinions having been brought into this wonderful little family by Ifif1938. So, in a way this actually starts with her because my daughter and I joined Epinions on her recommendation. My daughter then referred Bijou and Elvisdo.
Before Carolyn married and moved to Forida she had and still has a wonderful friend, Bijou, (our third Epinions member in this oddly connected gathering). I've known Bijou since she and Carolyn were in high school. Through Carolyn, Bijou and her husband met and married (Elvisdo, our fourth epinonater).
It was terrific meeting him for the first time. Also, it was so odd, because I've read and rate his epinions and never once connected him to Bijou. I've always adored Bijou's writings and I knew all about the courtship, the marraige and now the impending baby and I never put two and two together.
All these little quirks of fate. All these connections. This was a "Turn a different corner.. and we never would have met" experience. To actually talk to the people behind the Epinions articles was such fun. To see them in person, chit chat, interact etc was so interesting as we commented on the little intricate details that brought us all together at once.
So out of our fundraiser came this Epinions gathering. It was a wonderful bonus.
