The Bottom Line Don't blame Canada, just blame me for being crazy and having some fun!
Another year has come and gone and already it's July again. Do you know what that means? I'm going to be a year older (I expect lots of presents... cash gifts are perfectly acceptable). More importantly, on this day of July 1st, Canada is celebrating Canada Day. As one of the many Canadians who moved to the United States, I keep asking myself, "Don't I get this day off as well?" The Great White North is celebrating its 141st birthday as a unified nation. It also means that it's time to bring back the now-annual Canadiana Write-Off.
For the entire month of July, write anything pertaining to Canada, no matter how big or small a reference it might be… an actor, actress, invention, event, setting, song, anything at all.
I’ll list all participants and their reviews on this page. Drop me an e-mail or leave a link in the comment section, and I will post everything over here. Have fun with this, eh?

• Ontario's Oliver Platt hangs out with professional wrestlers in Ready to Rumble.
• Parts of Cruel Intentions were filmed in Toronto. Also, Joshua Jackson is from Vancouver.
• The Breakfast Club has a bit role for Ontario's John Kapelos who plays Carl the Janitor.
• The film In Bruges has Ontario's Jordan Prentice in it.

• Unfortunately, the 2005 movie Elektra was filmed in British Columbia. At least there was some great scenery shots as a result.
• Calgary's Bret Hart re-accounts his wrestling career in Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling
• Wolverine: Origin reveals the very beginnings of the feisty Canadian known as Wolverine.
• My 4"x6" Flag of British Columbia is a good reminder of home.
• Sub-Mariner: Atlantis Under Attack & To Conquer a Crown is produced by the Canadian company Grantray-Lawrence Animation. It also stars voice actors John Vernon (Saskatchewan) and Bernard Cowan (Toronto).

• I love my dose of CFL and the 2007 JOGO CFL Trading Cards definitely fills a need.
• Canadian comic Seth Rogen voices Mantis in Kung Fu Panda.
• The Railrodder/Buster Keaton Rides Again was filmed by the National Film Board Of Canada.
• Toronto native Jeff Healey, along with the Jeff Healey Band, make a fabulous debut with See The Light.
• The Topps Company Topps Toronto Raptors Chris Bosh 2003 04 Draft Rookie Card showcases the Raptors talent.
