For the sake of being 'on topic' I will state up front that this member's message to the community is:
• Please check out the reviews linked below which are reviews I have rated 'Most Helpful' as a 'books' category Advisor. ( At least, those that I have 'saved' since I first thought of recording them. )
How was that for 'Most Helpful'..??
Many of the thoughts I would share here I have already shared at that other review, that one about MH-rated movies. So I really encourage you to go read that one. Seriously ... that one is the one to read to really understand my thoughts about 'Most Helpful' reviews.
Epinions is blessed to have so many excellent writers in both the books and movies categories. It is particularly difficult to 'award' (the wrong word, but you know what I mean) 'Most Helpful' rates in the 'books' category. Especially if one follows the site's guideline that they are not to be used for 'solo' reviews. Many writers seem to focus on 'first reviews', either by choice or by simply not reviewing 'main stream, well read' products.
Seriously, I do urge you to read my thoughts at the partner 'movies' MH-rates essay.
'Most Helpful' rates should represent the best that Epinions has to offer and should lead the way in presenting our best to our non-member visitors and users.
