| njrdz's Full Review: Dell Dimension 8100 Series |
The Dimension 8100 system that I have was among the most up to date systems available in February 2001. It has a 1.5 gig.processor, 60 gig hard drive, R/W drive, zip drive, and the THX certification for sound developed by Lucas Films not to mention the Pentium 4 processor. All of the system components work flawlessly and amazingly, the THX sound system can deliver sound clarity better than almost anything I've listened to yet. This would be ideal for those PC gamers who want it all in terms of effect. The monitor I chose is the Dell 17" which serves wonderfully for almost any application including web work. I'm running 256 megs. of RD RAM which is great for general use and the system is capable of as much as over a gig of RAM. Dell has long been a premier player in the computer hardware world and their reputation of delivering quality systems is well deserved.
