After browsing online to select a digital camcorder, I decided to order it (Sony DCR-TRV17) from Digital Etailer - for $300 less than the same camera is currently being offered at Best Buy & The Good Guys!! But I had read these reviews and was more than a bit worried. My worry was for naught, however. I placed the order online easily and received a confirming e-mail shortly afterward. The next day I received a phone call from a rep supposedly "to confirm the order" (although I have never had to do that before with any of the numerous online purchases I've made in the past). The rep then (of course) offered me some accessories (tapes, filters & carrying cases), one of which I accepted (the tapes). But there was absolutely no pressure; when I said "No thank you," he dropped it. He told me to expect delivery in about 5 days. Later that day I received a confirming email from UPS estimating the delivery date and on that day (7 days later) the camera, and tapes, were delivered, UPS ground. The accompanying invoice corresponded to my online order, the box was factory sealed, none of the parts were missing and the camera appears to work perfectly. If I hadn't received that "confirming order phone call" I would have given this merchant a perfect score.
