| DiscoFro's Full Review: Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 Value |
I purchased this card due to the fact that my computer came with a card that was 8bit trash. After I replaced the card, I came to realize the importance of a sound card, and how much this card beat most others on the market.
As a digital musician, it is important to me to have a very high sound quality without a lot of static and loss of bass and high range sounds. This card delivers all of these aspects with expert ease.
This card has no trouble handling mp3 files and playing them back, it easily covers music CD's, and can record at 44.1khz stereo (CD quality).
Another major plus is that this card can also manage and playback Yamaha XG MIDI, which is a major boost and easily beats out any other MIDI generation software.
The card also supports Bass-Treble controls and a 3D sound on/off control, as accessable via the volume control on your desktop. Installation is a snap. Overall, if you are looking for a better card than your computer came with, check out this one.
