Pros: Feature rich, good performance, excellent battery life, great overall value.
Cons: Occasional "lock-ups" forces you to remove battery to "reboot", cover hard to remove.
The Bottom Line: You won't be dissapointed with the 3390, I'm not. If you can forgive the occasional glitches, the 3390 is really one cool phone that you won't get broke over.

| midknightrydr's Full Review: Nokia 3390 |
Nokia has always been known for great quality cellular phones, and even better reliability. The 3390 does pack quite a lot of bells and whistles under the hood, but there is something else under the little hood (which is nearly impossible to remove) that concerns me. The firmware lock-ups. Yep, you've probably ran into them before, your mouse stops moving, your pc speaker beeps everytime you hit a key on the keyboard, you gotta reboot. Well, something similar occurs with this phone every once in a while, not sure why, and not sure what causes it, but on occasion, this phone will lock up, not allowing you to hit any keys on the phone or even power it off via the power button. To fix the problem, you have to open the cover and remove the battery and re-install it in order to clear the burp. This problem is not limited to my phone, my girlfriend has the same exact model and hers does it too.
Small gripes aside, overall this phone does indeed perform well, very little if any blackouts, pretty good network coverage, and outstanding battery life. It is also very quick to charge, only a few hours to fill it up from dead. My favorite features of this phone is the text messaging and the ability to download or program your own custom ringtones, currently I have the Godfather theme on mine.
