| timharper's Full Review: Cricket Communications Mobile Phone Service in Sal... |
I went with cricket in December, 2001. All my friends dissed me for it, said I was dumb and laughed at me for going with a phone that doesn't work when you go on trips. Well, I was laughing a few months later when they all ran up huge $300 phone bills from talking too much, couldn't pay them, and lost their phones.
Before, cricket had a decent plan. $35 + voicemail + tax came out to be about $43. Then plus longdistance I was paying about $53 a month on cell phone. Not extremely great, but reasonable. Lots of people complain about drop outs on Cricket too, but, to tell you the truth, its worked pretty great for me.
Today I just upgraded to the new "plan", which is $40 a month, plus voicemail, 3 way calling, caller ID, call waiting, and 500 long distance minutes plus unlimited calls within the cricket area and unlimited incoming calls. I called up support, they hooked me up, and it was all done, just like that. And all I could say was Phat, I just saved $10 a month and got tons of rad features. Cricket, you're alright!
