Pros: Cheap.
Cons: You get what you pay for.
The Bottom Line: If you can afford AT&T or Sprint or MCI, do. Cricket's service is cheap and wouldn't be worth a penny more.

| goshmonger's Full Review: Cricket Communications Mobile Phone Service in Sal... |
For service w/ voice mail and caller ID my monthly bill is $46.06. (Plus $2.00 if paid in person.) I suppose that isn't bad for unlimited local calling. However, I estimate that literally 20% of my phone conversations consist of either me or the person I'm talking to asking "What? Could you please repeat that? Wait...wait...wait... I didn't hear a thing you just said...Now what was that?" It is incredibly annoying. Also, a significant portion of the calls made to me connect straight to voice mail without my phone ever ringing- even if the phone indicates that it's receiving a strong signal. All in all, I'm still going to keep the service cause it's cheaper than a land-line, but as soon as a competitor offers similarly priced service I'll abandon Cricket in a heartbeat because it couldn't be any worse.
