Nice, but a little hard work.

Pros: Good Quality Scans, Looks Cool

Cons: Clunky Software, Lamp takes ages to warm up.

The Bottom Line: Like the scanner. Hate the software. A little on the slow side. I guess what matters is the results though, and they're good.

Got this scanner last night. Software and driver installed perfectly first time but due to other USB problems, had to re-install. Nightmare to re-install second time on XP professional. Call to HP support sorted it out. Very helpful.
Scanner looks nice and image quality is very nice. Far higher resolution than I will ever need.
Scanning software is VERY clunky. Prone to crash and just plain UGLY.
Have used it to scan slides and negatives with the very trick built in gizmo. Very impressive results.

All in all, a very nice scanner but you will find yourself kicking your heels quite a bit waiting for it to do it's work.
