Pros: fast browser, good UI
Cons: still not there
The Bottom Line: Fast browser, good UI, but if you do not run Unix -- use something else.

| avinnik's Full Review: Netscape 7.0 |
After complete fiasco of Netscape 6.0 I decided to try version 7.01 to give Netscape another chance.
Installation was smooth and robust. Unfortunately it screwed up my Java installation installing some strange version of Java -- be careful. In addition to that it installed a bunch of links to AOL stuff on desktop and startup menu.
The browser is faster than my IE version 5. User interface is pretty good. Other reviewers described the functionality pretty well. I would just say that the browser combines functionality of IE and Opera browsers, but it is missing such functionality of Opera as Mouse Gestures and bunch of IE functions (for example XML viewer).
On Windows platform it still cannot beat IE, on Unix (Linux) cannot beat Opera (Opera is much faster) and on Mac cannot beat new Mac browser.
If you would like to use the same User interface on multiple platforms (Windows, Unix, Mac) go with Netscape, but I would wait for version, which does not have 0 in its number (for example 7.3.1). Basically if you are a Windows user do not bother to install it just a waste of time. If you want to browse on Linux it would not be bad, but on Mac I would use Apple native browser.
I uninstalled Netscape 7.01 (uninstall went pretty well). I will wait for 7.1 to come out to give Netscape another chance.
