| gordjohn's Full Review: Archos Jukebox Recorder 20GB MP3 Player |
I thought I was the only one who had problems with this product because the reviews have been good. Someone in my office had the same problems with the screen going out. Without the LCD screen, you can't play MP3s.
Now mine functions as a portable harddrive only and not an MP3 player.
I was surprised at how heavy it is. Compared to the ipod, it feels like it's made of lead. Not very good for jogging with or putting in your shirt pocket.
The USB speed it good and songs download very quickly.
The included MusicMatch software is flaky and you get no technical support since this is freeware. I recorded most of my CDs over a 2 week period and found that none of them actually played. They were silent. What a drag for two week's work. Couldn't get customer support, so I downloaded Realplayer, which works better and faster and ...actually works.
