Pros: Powerful vacuum with a good cleaning wand design.
Cons: Bad design flaws render the vacuum useless after a short time.
The Bottom Line: The Fantom Twister is a poorly designed vacuum that breaks down very quickly. It is not worth the money or the grief.

| owlwatcher974's Full Review: Fantom Twister Upright Vacuum |
I own a housecleaning service that used Fantom vacuums exclusively until Fantom Technologies went out of business.
I was very happy to find that Euro-Pro had bought the Fantom name and was making Fantom vacuums again - until I bought one.
I loved my new Twister vacuum at first. But, after only one week of use (5 houses), the Twister (twister #1) developed an electrical problem and had to be sent back for replacement (at my expense).
The replacement vacuum arrived with a cracked base and a very noisy motor so I had to send it back for another replacement. In the meantime, I had purchased a second Twister (twister #2) which seemed to be perfect in every way. The vacuum was a dream come true. Not only was Twister #2 one of the most powerful vacuums I had ever used, the attachments were easy to get to and easy to use with the cleaning wand. When the second replacement for twister #1 arrived, it seemed like I had the perfect pair of vacuums for my housecleaning crew. But, after only two months of use, twister #1 developed the same electrical problem that caused me to send the first twister back for repair. Also, twister #2 was now having problems with its brush roll.
I do realize that vacuums break down quickly in the housecleaning business so it didn't bother me to have to put both vacuums into the repair shop after only three months. The problem is getting the parts to repair them. Both machines need parts which are very difficult to get from Euro-pro. The owner of the repair shop finally decided to use parts from twister #1 to fix twister #2. So now I only have one Twister vacuum which could break down at any time and is also showing signs of the same electrical problem that two of the other twisters had.
This makes three Twister vacuums that have had a serious electrical problem - - the vacuum motor turns off and on while it is being used. Sometimes the vacuum will not come back on unless the vacuum is hit or shaken roughly.
All attempts I have made to get in touch with the place I bought the vacuum from have ended with the same results - the people who sell the vacuums are not the company who makes the vacuums so there is nothing they can do about getting parts to repair them.
---Update----
After trying several more times to get in touch with Euro Pro, I gave up. I had conversations with several other people who have had the same experience. Euro Pro will not give refunds even though their product is obviously faulty. They will offer replacement if the customer pays for shipping -- which costs more than the vacuum is worth.
The last Twister broke down completely a couple of months after I wrote the original review. The wheel broke off not long after the electrical problem had made the vacuum nearly impossible to use. A friend suggested that I use both vacuums to make a working vacuum but it really wasn't worth the hassle. I gave both vacuums away.
