Pros: Easy to Learn, Easy to Play, Funner than. . . Well it's really fun.
Cons: The character get on your nerves.
The Bottom Line: You can learn the many game to play your friends, or just keep playing the computer. Either way, it's a blast!

We got this game as a gift, and so far my wife has dominated the computer time playing some of the other various game that come on the CD such as Zen Bones. "Honey, turn out the lights and come to bed!" is becoming a common term used in our house. Well, just the other day, I started playing with the games. I decided to try Pinochle, a game I had never played before. I have several friends that have invited us over for a pinochle night, but have never taken them up on the offer, not knowing how to play. I even has a couple try to explain the game, but just could not connect with the verbal instructions. I even own the Hoyle book of rules, but it is hard to read about a game and get what I need out of it. Hands on, that's the way to go! And that is what this program does. If gives online instruction when you need it, it will not let you make an illegal move, and with practice, you get better quickly. We played some friends tonight, and we actually didn't do that bad. We did not win, but we were within a dozen points at the end of the game.
Playing the game on the computer is fun too, but I found that the characters on the screen have a very limited vocabulary, and after a while , the constant repeating of phrases and snide comments get just a bit old. Lucky for me, it is easier to turn them off than real people. but even luckier for me, the real people I play are not as annoying.
