Pros: great rate plans, great phones, decent signal coverage, sometimes helpful Cons: a hassle, they get away with anything because they're AT&T, CSRs are dumb as rocks
Have you ever subscribed to a service and felt like you had to work a little to hard to get good results? Isn't the point of paying someone so that you don't have to do the work? I oftentimes find myself doing more work than the people I am paying to...
Pros: My phone works- my Nokia 3595 hasn't given me any problems. Cons: You'll be on hold for at least a half hour for every service call.
I cannot get anyone on the phone for anything regarding my mobile service other than sales. I can't even log into the website to use the internet options- and I have designed websites. I will list the problems I've had up until now, and then list the ...
Pros: Fabulous service across the country with very few areas of non-service! (read update below) Cons: No time stamp, slow in updating their features and offers! (read update below)
Originally, I was slow to jump on the mobile phone bandwagon but when I did, I went with the company I knew, AT&T. That was back in the analog days and when we used the original Motorola Flip Phones. I had little trouble with the service or the phone and ...
Pros: Great savings, good reception Cons: Unable to access realtime usage at present, although coming soon/
I chose the 600 minute plan for $89.99, and now make all my long distance calls on my cell phone! I use my home phone line almost exclusively for internet access, and have installed an ansering service on my computer, that plans my messages to me...
Pros: price and service Cons: price if usage is low one month
AT&T Digital One Rate is a good deal for the person that travels a lot. No long distance and no roaming charges make it perfect if you are away from your home area often. The message indicator features do not work out of AT&T area but many many...
Pros: Can't think of any! Cons: Lousy calls and service.
I had At&t with an Ericsson phone. It went bad after 4 months,I thought, and they replaced it promptly. But it took 4 WEEKS to get At&t to realize this phone wouldn't program. It was a reconditioned one and was obviously not getting the...
Pros: family plan, service, and detailed bills Cons: none really
After dropping VoiceStream like a hot potato (even one of their reps admitted to me they're awful - see my review), I looked into AT&T. They offered free mobile-to-mobile calling on their family plan (AT&T Shared Advantage, specifically), which was...
I signed up for AT&T digital one rate service after seeing ads that included an phone decorated with an American flag, with a "Let Freedom Ring" headline. It promised national service, at one rate. The national service is not a reality....
Pros: when they finally got around to fixing my problem, my replacement unit came right away Cons: they took a very long time to correct the problems i was having
The service on my cell phone with AT&T has not been too great and I have had a couple problems with them especially when it came to getting it fixed. My phone was not able to pick up a signal and I was constantly experiencing missing calls because of...
AT&T Service Naples/Fort Myers by jlafla ,Mar 24 '04
Pros: Reception is good throughout country. Cons: Extremely poor service if the phone they sell you breaks.
I have had AT&T Service for at least 5 years since they bought out Cellular One. On the whole the service and reception has been fine. I switch phones and get a new one once a year. In December 2003 I bought a Treo 600 and it worked fine until the middle of February when the speaker stopped working. AT&T said I had to deal with Palm and they couldn't help me. Palm sent me a new phone in 12 days which phone wouldn't hold a charge. I received phone #2 in another 12 days (they will not do overnights even if you offer them your FEDEX number). Treo phone #3 came last week and it worked for 5 days before the speaker went out. I spoke with AT&T supervisors about getting another phone overnight rather than waiting another 12 days from Palm and they said no, it was my problem for picking this phone. When I told them that their website does not say that they will not replace this phone if you have a problem, they said they would look into it. I am now waiting another 12 days for phone #4 from PalmOne.
As good as cell service can get! by stazziax ,Jan 04 '04
Pros: Great network, the latest phones at amazing prices, plenty of free service features. Cons: Mobile web rates are a bit outrageous!
AT&T is one of four (yes, four) cellular companies I have used in the past two years and has proved to be the most reliable of all of them. I even get reception in the middle of Walmart if you can believe that (some credit must go to my Nokia 3595)! I am a user of their Go Phone service which is an innovative approach to prepaid service. For $39.99 a month (all taxes and charges included) I get 400 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. This isn't nearly as many minutes as I would get with a contract for that monthly price, but I like not having to commit for a year or two with the threat of a $175 cancellation fee if I should change my mind. I was a previous user of AT&T's Free to Go prepaid service. I switched services when this became too expensive as I began to rely on my cell phone more than my home phone. I now use my Go Phone as my only phone line
and only rarely have problems with making or receiving calls.
Overall I am a satisfied customer.
Terrible service and they dont care by ziminy13 ,Dec 01 '03
Pros: Great connections when driving on the freeway. Cons: Cannot place or receive calls indoors.
I got a great deal on this phone and assumed that it would be good service because of the AT&T reputation. I was wrong. They originally hooked me up with a phone number from a city I dont live in. Calling my own cell phone was long distance. Got a new number.
I got this phone mostly to use at home. I cannot get a signal in my house. I cannot receive calls in my house. Occasionally my phone will ring, but when I answer, the call gets dropped within the first 30 seconds. I called Customer Service and told them that to use my phone at home, I have to go out into the alley behind my backyard to get a signal.
The operator actually said "Then I guess you'll have to make your calls from there".
I get great reception on the freeways also, but I'm not gonna stand on one to make calls. If you are on the road alot, you will like this phone. Otherwise, find another service.
Don't make this mistake by spicoli1978 ,Apr 15 '04
Pros: nothing Cons: everything
Summation of story:
Good service, decent price. Customer service is so bad that the phone wouldn't be worth it if it were free. They've got hundreds of different departments that don't know what each other is doing. In the end, no one can help you. Speaking to someone being paid more than minimum wage is impossible. You feel like your talking to a robot. Instead it's a 17 year old reading the At&t customer service manual. I've been with them for 2 and a half years, but never again. When I tell them this, calmly, they don't seem to care. Please don't make the same mistake I made, because eventually you'll have problems with the bill, or phone, or service. And that's when your problems just begin.
Connection Problems.....Poor Customer Service!!! by sammy-1 ,Nov 30 '03
Pros: Large coverage area Cons: Numerouse disconnects, rude customer service reps, throws their weight around since they're AT&T!!!
Too many problems with being disconnected almost daily, echoes in the phone, hold times in excess of one and a half hours to reach a customer service rep. When I tried to cancel my service after the year contract, they tried to charge me a $175 fee. Eric in the Resolutions Department was very obnoxious insisting the "you will" pay the $175 fee. Very arrogant attitudes since they're AT&T.
