I am with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas. Just after arriving here in Oct 2000, I joined Cingular Wireless. This is my first experience with a cellular phone company and I wish I would have done my research before selecting Cingular. I should have...

Pros: best phones. decent prices. Cons: bad (very slow) customer service. system busies. lack of coverage
enough said. I'm locked into a contract for only 3 more months that I'm about to pay the $150 to get out of because having a cingular phone is pointless. I'm constantly getting system busies when I try to call out - even the time I tried 911.

Pros: None Cons: The whole company, it's infrastructure, and all the values and ethics they pretend to uphold.
Cingular in the first place gets some of the worst reception in this major, metropolitan city. On top of that since Pacbell became Cingular their computers have been screwy. For 5 STRAIGHT MONTHS they were unable to put the cell phone bill on my credit...

Pros: Free phone Cons: Customer Service. Frequent Busy system
If this is your first time with a wireless company. Be very careful with Cingular Wireless. Customer service will make you wait at least 15-30 minutes before anyone will talk to you. They won't be able to resolve any issue for you. A $36.00 charge...

Pros: Digital--bells and whistles Cons: Digital--poor coverage, not user friendly
My phone is supplied by my employer so I can't give you costs, but I can tell you about useability, or the lack thereof.

Pros: nothing that I have found Cons: BAD customer service
I was at a Cingular Wireless kiosk in the Sea-Tac mall today in Federal Way, WA. There were 3 workers there.
Basically I had already researched plans and walked right up to them and told them exactly what I wanted. Perfect for salespeople. No work...

Pros: NONE AT ALL!!! Cons: My experience with the whole company is just awful!!
After talking with several different Cellular companies we decided to sign up with Cingular because of the low cost for two phones and the promise that we would have service in the areas we had specified.
After using the phones for a few weeks, we...

They had a restructure of their accounts. It's been a big hassle because nobody knows what is going on. You send your bill in and it doesn't get posted for greater than 30 days. Then they bill you double the following month. They also state on there bill...
