| tauronb's Full Review: Sony Handycam DCR-TRV320 Digital-8 Digital Camcord... |
I love my camcorder. I bought it for a very good price. It is easy to use and offers a wide variety of up to date features, including the memory stick, digital capacity and ability to play older 8mm cassettes as well as new digital and hi8 tapes.
I do a lot of taping and my camera goes with me everywhere. It is light considering taht it is not a mini dv recorder. The 2.5 inch screen is the right size not too big and not too small (although it does suck up power) and there are a lot of upgrades for the camera.
The provided firewire makes tapes so easy to play back, just one connection to my tv or vcr and i am ready to watch. And if that isn't good enough Sony offers a device that plays back tapes through the TV with no connection to the camera at all. You can play back tapes from approx. 20feet. How cool is that ???
The only thing that I ask for is a better standard battery. The battery that is included in the package is only about 90minutes and I think that a 2 or even 4hr battery would be a better standard feature.
I am very satisfied with my purchase (especially since I paid less then everyone else) and I am sold on Sony products.
