| bkinispidr's Full Review: Hughes Networks D2532 DIRECTV |
Haven't heard of the name Hughes? So you're gettin the RCA, Because they make TV's. Well, Hughes makes the satellite systems that Direct TV is broadcast on. They Knew that the average consumer didn't know their name so they signed a contract letting RCA produce the dishes until they could get a foot hold. This dish system rocks compared to its RCA counter part.
The Dish has several features not available on the RCA. It allows you to browse the channel guide in the bottom of the screen while still watching your current channel. It also has alpha keys so you don't have to remember what channel TNT is , just hit Alpha and type TNT and there you are. You can customize your channel guide allowing up to four people to put in a list of channels they watch. It also has Turbo Tune, where you put in a 9 channel quick dial. It has several parental options that let you control the use of the system, Such as limiting the amount of time the kids can watch without you're knowing. All this plus it has a graphic channel guide, it actually shows the cartoon network, sci-fi, usa and other logo instead of just text.
I've only compared it to the RCA, But I think its a great product that you'd be very happy with.
