Happy with My aiwa

Jan 25 '00

While I was reading through some Epinions, I came across some comments on aiwa products. I was surprised to see that many people don't like aiwa and have had all sorts of problems. I have an aiwa product, a stereo-cassette player that I've had for about four years.

I basically use my cassette player when I work out on the treadmill and I would say that I've probably dropped the cassette player at least four times. It dropped onto the belt of the treadmill, then bounced onto the floor and "lo and behold," it continues to work; no matter what I do to it, like the Energizer Bunny, it keeps on going.! When it was dropped, the whole case came apart and I just put it back together, thinking it wouldn't work … it did. I think it has a terrific sound, but headphones have a lot to do with that. I bought a new pair, didn't like what came with the cassette player.

My aiwa is the Super Bass TX476, has auto reverse, 30-station presets, AM, FM 1, FM 2 radio bands and station-lock buttons.

So, if someone were to ask me what I would recommend in stereo cassette players, I would have to recommend aiwa. It's possible that maybe the quality has deteriorated since I bought my aiwa four years ago, I don't know, but I certainly would consider aiwa based on my own experience.
