Sprint PCS..Is it a good service?
I have been a Sprint PCS customer for a little over two years. There have been times when I have been very pleased by the service and times where I wish Sprint would go up in flames. Here's why.
The good side to the service is that you get features like free caller id, voicemail, call forwarding, and the most important free first incoming minute free. You don't realize how much money the first incoming minute saves over time. The service is fairly good in the regions with a system antenna near by, but as soon as your location starts getting farther from that antenna you start having difficulties. For example Mercer Island, Washington: the south end of the island does not have an antenna and Sprint PCS is guaranteed not to work there. The funny thins is that the service cuts out too in some small area in the north of the island. So I guess you never know where your Sprint PCS will work, but if it works it will provide you with a clear sound and a fairly good service.
Another good thing about Sprint PCS is that you do not sign a one year contract, except when you have a deal or something, and your service is month to month, which means you can use it for one month, stop another, and start again whenever you decide that you need it.
In conclusion, it's a good service if you have the antenna nearby. If you don't, or you drive a lot of different places or you need to use your phone inside the newer office building, don't get it!
