Smart Money, owned by the Wall Street Journal, is the best site on the Web for financial information. They use technology as no other site I have seen. The amount of info you can glean from going through all of the tabs after you select a stock to get information about it is enormous.
Additionally, there is lots of data on insider info - who is selling and who is buying. They use a bar chart to illustrate the ratings of analysts of this stock and have the ability to create a chart of one selected stock against another, e.g. if you wanted to compare Cisco to Intel - it is simply a matter of putting in the call letters of one stock and entering the name of the other in a small block, as the charts are drawn.
Mutual funds are also available and you may create a chart showing which family of funds meet the criteria you select, to include good features like expenses, front end loading, etc.
The also have one of the complex tech tools I have seen called Map of the Market - which shows by color which sectors of the market are doing well and not so well.
Generally, their news is news you can use. Not only is the site one of my favorites, I find the magazine to be very readable and diverse in its approach to a wide variety of topics. I can clip thru this site and make a decision in about 5-10 minutes whether to buy or not.
By the way, I have been a Wall Street Journal reader for over ten years. Is my bias showing?
