| maxshroom's Full Review: Tony Hawk Pro Skater |
Now when I first played this game on playstation I thought that there could be no better. This game is great. The textures sound and graphics are great.
Well now the N64 has released its version of Tony Hawk Skating, and I have to say that in a way, I think it is better. First, the things that aren't as good. The music from real bands is on this cartridge game, but are not entire , nor are they very good quality. This is all do to limitations behind the cartridge interface. oh well. Second, the textures are the same as on Playstations. But the smoothness of this game makes up for any visual flaw that you can find.
The game includes a number of professional skaters, each with their own unique moves that they can perform.
The playcontrol is easy to learn but is not easy to master, and even after a week of grueling playing, I was still not a master at balancing my skater. Although I was pretty good.
The two player mode of this game is just as good too. With two people that are of the same level of play, you can have a very competitive time going at it. There are three kinds of games that you can play , graffiti, trick attack, and HORSE. Each has its own rules, and are not difficult to learn, basically, out trick your opponent.
In the end, this game rocks, and I highly recommend it. If you had played 1080 snowboarding and didn't like it, or if you did like it, Tony Hawk is not like it at all, and is easy to learn , but tough to master.
