The most important thing you can do when you're in the market for a microwave, or any appliance for that matter, is to ask your friends!
I needed a new microwave. So, I headed to the store to get one. I looked around for a while and finally settled on a Magic Chef. The price was right and the features described on the box seemed to be what I was looking for. What was I thinking?
After about 3 months the thing just went dead. No sign of life whatsoever! When I started asking around, I found out that a couple of people I knew had knowledge of the less-than-stellar performance of this brand.
The moral of the story is, "Don't believe what the manufacturer prints on the box! They may be biased. Ask your friends!"
