When I use this product for my Chicken Barbeque's the aroma lingers for all my neighbors to smell. That I have had my neighbors stop to ask what time dinner would be ready! Makes my chicken tender and tasty! This Barbeque Marinade is an secret family recipe that was created by the Chiavetta Family from Brant, New York over 50 years ago and is very popular in the Western New York area.
As I was growing up in Western New York it was very common to smell the aroma of the Chicken Barbeques being hosted by the local Volunteer Fire departments, Church functions, as fund raisers and my favorite place of all the Erie County Fair. This how I was introduced to this product. The smell was so heavenly it made you want to stop in to pick up a Chicken Barbeque. Now you can find it on your grocer's shelves for home use in the New York area.
The only problem is it is only available in certain areas and would be great if they would introduce it nationwide. For instance, now that I moved to Mississippi I can't find it in my area and I have to special order it through my family to ship it down to me. I have requested my local Wal-Mart to carry this product, seeing that they carry this product in their stores in the WNY area and it may take some time for the buyers to add it to the shelves in our area.
CHIAVETTA'S BARBEQUE MARINADE is superior for tenderizing and flavoring. Contains No MSG. I use it mainly for chicken but it can also be used for Beef, Lamb, Pork, Fish and Vegetables. Not only is it used for grilling but for your oven too! To give you an idea of what the flavor may be like I have listed the ingredients as listed on the bottle I have on hand. Ingredients include: Vinegar, salt, spices, fresh garlic and Xanthan gum.
I have tried my best to duplicate this recipe with my own version to come close to this recipe when I have run out of this product and my recipe can not compare to this marinade by any means.
Only takes 30 minutes to marinate your meats for the flavor to set in, then you baste the meat each time you turn it on the grill for added flavor. My mouth is watering, MMMMMM... just by writing about this marinade makes me hungry for the heavenly taste of CHIAVETTA'S CHICKEN!
In my opinion this Chicken Marinade gets an A+!!
