How to Deal with Divorce

Nearly everyone has heard the grim statistic that over half of American marriages end in divorce. Why might this be so? What steps can be taken to keep a failing marriage together? When, if ever, is it time to call it quits? How can parents who are going through a divorce help their children through it as well?
