Pregnant and Puking!!!

Are you pregnant and throwing up morning, noon, and night? Been there, done that. Don't you just hate those women who say, "Yes, I had morning sickness. "I threw up twice during my pregnancy." Well, I've got news for you. Morning sickness in general is no walk in the park. I do not wish this on anyone. But the worst morning sickness is the throwing up 24-7 for the first 5 months of pregnancy. That is me!
From the time I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant until I was 5 months into my pregnancy, I threw my guts up. It was terrible. I wondered so many times, "What have I got myself into?" Two days after I found out I was pregnant, it began. I was back at the doctor's office with IV fluids to rehydrate me. I had lost 4 pounds already. I could not keep anything down from any type of food or beverage. I would take a sip of tea, and up it would come. Popsicles? Up they would come. Along with my alarm clock on my bedside table stayed a glass of water or sprite and plenty of crackers. I would drink and eat this PRIOR to getting out of bed. This sometimes helped, but really not for long.
After the 5th month, it just all went away as fast as it came on. I had only gained 1 pound by this time. I eventually gained 34 pounds by the end of my pregancy. I ended up having my twins 6 weeks premature by the call of god. My water broke and the rest is history.
In the end when you see the beautiful new life that you have brought into this world, you "Thank God" and think it WAS worth it all. You won't think this at first, but believe me you will in the end. I don't have the answer to cure the morning sickness you are experiencing, I just have the wisdom and the words of encouragement to tell you "it will eventually get better as the pregancy goes" and keep thinking positive in that "it is worth it in the end".
