Never in a million years would I have thought I would be in the situation of having to give a child up for adoption, but I did. For many reasons I decided rather than to abort a innocent child I would look into the adoptive method.
This is hard for me to write, but I truly believe what I did was overall a wonderful thing. My advice to any mother contliplating giving a child up for adoption:
1) Check with several adoption agencies and check out their rules and regualtions on adoptions
2) Check out the various adoptions from open adoptions to closed etc.
3) Speak with all family members and a therapists to make sure you are sure on your decision and able to live with the after math of it all.
Adoption is a wonderful option we as woman have in this day and age, to help a couple or a woman or man finally receive a bundle of joy, that might not have been possible without us. Not only do your help them out, you can feel good after the pain in knowing that your child is growing help healthy and happy in a loving home that wanted desperatly for a child of their own.
Adoption is a wonderful thing, just make sure you are 110% sure of your decision so no one ends up hurt especially you, and make sure you have a good support system, whether it be friends, family or a therapists to help you out through this tough time.
