When Aveeno first came out with their baby care product line I was skeptical. What would Aveeno possibly have to offer the baby care world? Apparently, more than I imagined! Little did I know, Aveeno is actually distributed by Johnson & Johnson. With that in mind, I decided that I would give their new lightly scented baby wash & shampoo a try.
Aveeno Has Gone To The Babies!
Let me be the first to say, I'm glad that they did! They have taken their gentle natural oatmeal formulas and applied them to a new line of washes. Each wash is Pediatrician Recommended and Hypoallergenic so you know that you are getting a product that is going to be gentle to your baby's delicate skin. The new line of washes are even gentle enough for newborns!
Cost
I purchased an 8 OZ bottle of the Aveeno Lightly Scented Baby Wash & Shampoo for $2.39 at my local Wal-Mart. I have to find a larger size bottle of this particular wash.
Scent & Cleansing
The Aveeno Lightly Scented Baby Wash & Shampoo is wonderfully light. It's fresh and clean with no heavy perfumes or abundant powdery scent. The scent also tends to linger longer than most baby washes that I have tried, leaving a just cleaned smell on baby's skin nearly all day.
The Aveeno Lightly Scented Baby Wash & Shampoo is super convenient because it can be used as both a wash and shampoo which means less bottle clutter. The wash lathers up very well, and rinses off easily leaving no residue behind. The formula is tear-free so no worries about getting a little soap in baby's eyes.
Ingredients
Water, PEG-80, Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG 150-Distearate, Oat (Avena sativa) Extract, Sodium Lauroampho, PG-Acetate Phosphate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Fragrance, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbanate.
Overall Opinion
I highly recommend the Aveeno Lightly Scented Baby Wash & Shampoo. I like the fact that it contains the gentle oatmeal formula that Aveeno is famous for. The fact that it can be used as both wash and shampoo is a big plus in my book! It means that I don't have to constantly switch between bottles while trying to bathe a squirmy baby. It lathers well, rinses easily and keeps my daughter smelling fresh and clean all day!
