Visiting the Boulders last year for thanksgiving was one of the most fun experiances of my life. The Boulders is a thouroghly enjoyable resort with almost all the advantages you could ask from a resort outside Pheonix, Arizona. The golf was one of the most fun experiances I have ever had. The course, although small, was one of the most beautiful and enjoyable that I have ever played. The first ball that I played shot diretly forward into a 16 foot cactus, needless to say I took a mulligan. Tennis at the Boulders was also fun, I happen to know the head pro, Ky Foreman from Sun Valley, Idaho where I live and he teaches tennis. Ky is a great guy and so is his opperation. To my recollection there are about eight courts and they are all superbely maintained. To offer a small tid of advice: play late or play early do not attempt to play during the day.
Now to talk a little but about our room, room is probably not the best word to describe where we stayed, appartment would probably be more appropriate. We had a two story cabin equiped with hot tub, mini bar, full T.V and a balcony. I stayed on the second floor sofa bed with direct access to the second story patio. The houses are all different because the hotel shares residence with private owners who decorate their own house--to put it more simply you could be staying in the head of Morgan-Stanly-Dean-Witter's winter chateau. The whole experiance was a great one and I hope to return shortly.
