Here is a link to the JVC support site, which lists all of the models. I didn't see your EXACT model there, but there were a couple of DV4000 models.

PC program image Mixer 1.7 says cam corder not found, replaced all cords and reloaded two times with cd....Just want work, is it the software or corder...

All I have is the usb driver cd, which wont upload.
The JVC "video community" cd , which wont upload.

I have imagemixer 1.7 on my 'puter, but it doesnt recognise the dvc.

Do I need the initial installation software or is that it?

I have a firewire but on my 'puter, there isnt a small outlet only usb, so I am using the usb outlets.

Wtf is up with the darn thing. Pictures from the memory card upload fine but we want to download and edit/burn to dvd all our movies.........what the heck am I doing wrong here.........its very very frustrating

I too have a JVC (GR-D72U)Digital Video Camera and I have tried unsuccessfully to download the video using a two-way firewire connected to an HP Computer with Vista. The computer will not recognise the camera. Am I missing something? Please help me urgently since I have to showoff video clips of my daughters wedding to my friends. Thanks in anticipation.
