Old Town Santa Fe - Full of History

My husband had to go to Albuquerque -- I know I didn't spell that right -- so we made it a family trip and drove down together.

It took 4 days just to get to Santa Fe and I have to say the drive was worth it. We spent too much for the hotel, but it was right down in by the old plaza and wonderfully upscale from the Hotel 8's we'd been at.

When you get to Santa Fe you step back in time and can see how it was so many years ago, you can even check out the oldest house and the oldest church in North America. The old saloon and trading posts where cowboys would tie up there horses.

Kinda boring for kids, but very educational. It definetly isn't Disney Land as most placese were art galleries and boutiques. Sorry no rides. My favorite place was the churches, it showed where people put value in those days.

If you have gone what were your favorite spots?

I was in Santa Fe last summer. I liked the plaza area, but thought most shops were out of my league. The old churches were interesting too. We spent most of our time at a friend's house who lives there. Away from the plaza it's just like a normal town (mostly). -Dave

I like food. I live by it. :)

Seriously, if you'll ask me what's my favorite places in Santa Fe? It's the restaurants there like The Old House, Baleen, and Coyote Cafe.
