10 Songs that make me say.........ooh baby!

I wanted to write a review about ten songs that I absolutely love. There isn't really a category for this, so I chose house party mix, which is appropriate since I am going to give you music that makes me want to have a house party---for 2 only.
I am very passionate about music that I love. I grew up around music lovers, and as you know, I am married to one. I admire the talented writers that come up with the songs that send chills and bring out such emotion and the performers that add their heart and soul to it. I could sit and listen to these songs over and over--the effect will be the same as the first time. Try this out and let me know what you think. (For ultimate pleasure, have a warm body to dance with.)
JEFFREY OSBORNE--STAY WITH ME TONIGHT
This song is the ULTIMATE in my book. It is a great song to dance to, and I love Jeffrey Osbornes voice. I am so turned on by the words of this sexy song......"Another morning you are on my mind, taking up my time throughout the day..... Images I see, always you with me, its in my dreams, you give me fever, love I can't explain, fire and content, what is this girl?.....I try to fight it, but I never win, seems I just give in to your embrace.......But oh.....I'm sure to say all the things you do to me girl, my love can't be concealed, girl you know the deal.......Baby stay with me tonight.....At my apartment, you've come through the door, quarter after 4 a.m.--hello, we start to kiss, then we start to neck, you know what comes next and you love it girl......What we have it feels to good oh, make me feel just like a school boy girl, give me feelings of delight, please come hold me tight, Baby stay with me tonight"
Okay, okay, I am getting carried away but I can't control myself when I hear this song!! If you have never heard it, you don't know what you are missing. I love the way he gets serious at the end when he says "I'm gonna run my fingers through your hair, whisper sweet things in your ear" ooh baby, ooh baby, ooh baby!! Nobody else could try and repeat this performance.
LUTHER VANDROSS--ALWAYS AND FOREVER
This song is a classic and has been done by many. I prefer Luther's one of a kind voice on this song. This is another example of a song that sends chills with its beautiful words. "Always and forever, this moment with you......Its just like a dream to me that somehow came true....I know tomorrow will still be the same, cause we've got a life of love that won't ever change......Every day, love me you're own special way, melt all of my heart away with a smile....Take time to tell me you really care and we'll share tomorrow together" Oh my God, this is so beautiful and sincere. Some people spend their entire lives searching for this kind of love. This kind of passion really moves me--thank you Luther.
PATTI LaBELLE--IF ONLY YOU KNEW
Here is my confession: Patti LaBelle is my idol. If I could be reincarnated, I would choose to be her. She IS the greatest vocalist of all time. I refuse to believe that a person could sit and listen to this song and not be moved. "I must have rehearsed my lines, one thousand times until I had them memorized, but when I get up the nerve to tell you, the words just never come out right......IF only you knew, how much I do, do love you" She can make the pictures fall off of the wall with her voice. This has happened to everyone out there. Beautiful woman--Beautiful song.
DR. HOOK--SHARING THE NIGHT TOGETHER
This song was one of my favorites in the 70's and has retained its spot. Here is another perfect example of a heartfelt and sexy song. This song is also exclusive to the Dr. Hook style. It just makes me feel so good when I hear the words...."Would you like to dance with me and hold me--you know I want to be holding you?" I mean, what ELSE is there in this world that is any better than hearing these words?
COMMODORES--EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING
The title says it all....and I KNOW everyone reading knows this one. Lionel Richie's song will probably be played one hundred years from now.
CROWDED HOUSE--DON'T DREAM IT'S OVER
Neil Finn's distinctive voice makes this song. It is a great song, again with wonderful lyrics that move and motivate me. "There is freedom within, there is freedom without Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost....But you'll never see the end of the road while you're traveling with me.... Hey now, Hey now Don't dream it's over....Hey now, hey now when the world comes in.....They come, they come, to build a wall between us.....We know that they won't win" Very creative, don't you think?
JIMMY BUFFETT--COME MONDAY
Once again, here is another example of a distinctive voice that has such sincerity in the way it is sung by one neat guy. I loved this song before I had ever been to San Fran and it does stir even more emotion after living there for five years. "Headed out to San Francisco, for the Labor Day weekend show.....I've got my hushpuppies on,I guess I was never meant for glitter rock and roll......Honey I didn't know that I'd be missing you so....Come Monday, it'll be alright Come Monday I'll be holding you tight" I love to dance to this one.
BOB SEGER--BEAUTIFUL LOSER
This song has been around for a long time. Bob Seger's unique style of singing gives this song it's character also. The words have a very strong effect...."He wants to dream like a young man, with the wisdom of an old man, He wants his home and security, He wants to live like a sailor at sea.......Beautiful Loser, Where you going to fall when you realize you just can't have it all" These are very, very powerful words and a harsh realization for some in the real world.
HALL AND OATES--SO CLOSE
This group is one of the greatest acts of all time in my opinion. Daryl Hall is a musical genius with his signature style. This song is deep, but has always moved me......"A man loves a woman and he can't understand why she is sad when she looks at the ring on her hand, She sits in a club where the long shadows fall, drops a quarter in the jukebox--not the phone on the wall....... So close, yet so far away, so close, so far away.......Who would have thought girl that we would end up this way? So close, yet so far away"....This song portrays a sad reality for some, but again I am drawn in by the emotion but into the piece.
KEITH WASHINGTON--KISSING YOU
This is one that will get your adrenaline flowing for sure. It's sexy, romantic and says all of the thing your girl will want to hear. "Tonight's the night, we will share, turn off the lights, come close to me, tell me I'm all you'll ever need.......Tell me it's not just a dream, And if it is my heart believes that you are mine and this is real.....Kissing you......loving you all through the night" YEA BABY!!
AEROSMITH--I DON'T WANT TO MISS A THING
I am going to tell you that this song holds a very special place in my heart and in my memories. It came out at the same time that I met the person that I love more than anyone and we have shared alot of tender moments while listening to it. I still get butterflies when I hear it and it reminds me of the love that I hold so dear to my heart......."I could stay awake just to hear your breathing, while you smile while you are sleeping, while you are far away and dreaming......I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever...... Every moment I spend with you is a moment I treasure Don't want to close my eyes, don't want to fall asleep cause I'd miss you baby, and I don't want to miss a thing....... I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together I just want to stay with you in this moment forever......." Very beautiful words for a beautiful person.
Okay, I hope I haven't bored anyone. Listen to this music and I think if you appreciate the type of music I have listed, you too will enjoy it as much as I obviously do. Don't forget the candles and a partner!!
