Pros: -Solid -Reliable -Fast -Quiet Cons: -Plastic cover hard to remove
-No fast swapping of drives
The ADS Dual Link Drive Kit is a very solid and reliable product, which offers the best of Firewire and USB 2.0. The unit itself is relatively bulky due to its ability to house 5.25' drives. The unit has a small and quiet 40mm fan integrated in the back ...

Useful but expensive

Pros: HD tested okay Cons: noise, cost, design could be better
This Enclosure is fairly straight forward. You can plug any ATA device in (hard drive, DVD, etc.) I am satisfied with the design of the case, but could have been built better.
The Setup:
The front plate is easy to come off if you want to put a optical drive in. I helped set this up for a business, using a western digital 160 gb 8mb cache, without any significant problems. Just used win xp to format the thing. I have checked up on it, and has been running constantly for 5 months with no significant problems so far. I have tested both firewire and usb, and both work fine.
The Cons:
I am not too happy with the fan being that noisy, but I guess it's necessary. Got it at compusa for $70, which I think the thing should cost $40 at most. Though they do give firewire and usb cables, they are short.
Uncertain aspects:
I have not tested to see if a DVD burner or CD burner works in the enclosure. I heard some people say you may need to apply an update.
