Pros: Many features, great printing quality, prints photos, fast, quiet, good price. Cons: Must use Canon brand paper for photos, won't produce exact replica of scanned pictures.
The i450 Canon Printer has a lot of great options for a very reasonable price. THINGS I LIKE This printer quickly prints out documents and photos with great color and clarity. The quality of printing with the i450 is noticeably better than ...

Pros: Great Photo Printing, Low Cartridge Replacement Cost Cons: Only prints up to 8x10, 5x7 borderless
I read about this printer in one of my many tech magazines. I often print photos, and most inkjet photo printers that were any good at all were out of my range (my range is a little low right now!). I found this printer for $47.00 online with free ...

Good Machine
by fozidog ,Sep 15 '04
Pros: $2.50 ink cartridges online (abcink.com)
Fast on draft mode. Cons: Slow when printing on BEST mode.
I prefer front loading paper.
This is a good printer. I bought it for cheap ~$50 at fry's. Have had it for a year or so and it works great. The printing software is also helpful.
Prints pictures well on photo paper. Defenitly a good value.

Surprised on the absence of reviews.
by sephiroth7a ,Oct 29 '03
Pros: Laser-sharp text, fast printing speed, easy operation, easy-to-use software. Cons: No Canon Think Tank technology, not so affordable with the single colour cartridge.
After checking around websites for reviews on the printer, I chose to go ahead getting it although I didn't manage to find many reviews on it. I am very surprise on the printer's performance especially in printing text on plain paper and pictures on high gloss pictures. Text is laser-sharp to the naked eye even on Times New Roman font size 3 where with close inspection even the serifs can be seen. Pictures are flawless unless inspected closely and high gloss paper is not used. Overall, it is a very good printer for home users.

Nice Little Printer
by esoxlee ,Nov 22 '03
Pros: laser like quality, good photo prints, fast text printing rate, very affordable Cons: small ink jet tanks, sluggish photo print rate
This is my first photo capable printer and I must say that it provides quality prints for a very low price. Bear in mind that I used to work as a photo lab technician at a 1 hour photo business so I can say with confidence that the i450 produces good photo prints. I was also impressed by the speed of this product as well as it's quick start up time. For those who are uncomfortable with computers, this printer will allow you print directly from a camera. Overall, I would highly recommend the i450 for first time buyers or for those with a limited budget. Here's a helpful tip, if you really want to save some money, I suggest purchasing the generic replacement ink cartridges. You can get them for under $3.00 if you buy on line.

The great little printer that delivers
by rondempster ,Feb 02 '04
Pros: Delivers great photos and text at low cost. Cons: You cant open lid to see how it is printing.
This is my second ink jet printer I have owned, the first I bought was a epson 785epx, which I found expensive to run, slow too noisy and the heads were forever plugging up and I wasted a lot of ink cleaning and priming the heads, I much prefer the Canon as it does everything well and is cheap to buy and run.
