Pros: Duplexing, very fast text and graphics printing with good quality, two feed trays Cons: Almost too many options to choose from when you print.
The Canon Pixma iP3000 Photo Printer is an inexpensive mid range model in Canons new Pixma line of Photo Printers, which appear to be replacing in their i line of printers (like the similarly priced i560 or i860). We recently ...
Pros: Easy to use, fast, high quality even with larger picture sizes. Cons: No printing onto cds/dvd, not to important for me, but some people like it.
Words can barely describe how much I like this picture. I have had several recent experiences with home photo printers. The two that I have come into contact with left me with nothing but disapointment. I love digital photography so I demand high level ...
Pros: Quick and easy setup, fast and quiet high quality printing Cons: No USB cable supplied. No tray to catch printed items.
This little printer worked flawlessly for approximately 18 months. We put about one and a half boxes of printing paper through it, printing photos and documents. All the print jobs were completed quickly and with top quality results. The printer gave us ...
Pros: excellent color reproduction of photos, very user friendly, well worth the money Cons: None that I have found so far.
Based on all the great reviews of the Canon Pixma ip3000 inkjet photo printer which I had read in Epinions, I purchased one to replace my HP deskjet 960C which would no longer print. It did not take me long to see why the Canon ip3000 has received ...
Pros: Quiet. GREAT ink usage. User friendly. Cons: Not sure yet
I replaced my Epson C82 with this printer. I was reluctant to do that, but I'm now glad I did. I thought I was stepping down. I discovered that I stepped up. It's quiet. Does a better job with both text and photos (though I bought the Epson ...
Pros: Excellent photo print quality after customizing print settings
Cons: Default print settings need tweaking for high quality photo print output
Setting up the iP3000 on a PC is a snap using the included Quick Start Guide. After set-up the first thing I did was make a couple of test prints using the default settings for both standard and high quality prints. The results were on the mediocre ...
Pros: Low price; fast, quiet printing; duplex printing; great quality photos and text Cons: Unattractive, boxy appearance
I bought this printer to replace an Epson Stylus Color 777 (which was a waste of money). That printer totally turned me off of Epson products because the ink was so expensive, so I decided to try a Canon instead. I paid a total of $47.90 (including ...
Pros: Fast, great photo and text quality, borderless prints Cons: Software lacks a few more advanced settings, no cd/dvd printing
This printer is a perfect match for anyone who wants great and cost efficient printer for text and photos. Even though this printer does lack six ink printing, the photos look amazingly beatiful compared to the competition. I would also have liked to see cd/dvd printing, but this is still a negligeble con for the price. Text prints are very fast, and look like laser prints. For photos, I would have liked to see some advanced options where you could set the actual resolution, instead of choosing high, low, etc. In the end, I do not think you will find anything better for the money, speed, and efficiency.

Pros: Every facet Cons: Nothing
She is rather large, several square inches larger than the noisy old Epson 777, which, at first printed very well, equal to the Canon, IMO..
Unbelievable that the Canon 3000 actually cost me less than the Epson, it is so fast, so quiet, so easy to use..
I am impressed !
Pros: Prints wonderful photos. Fast with pictures AND text. Prints on BOTH sides of the paper. Cons: The included editing software is adequate, but not very powerful.
I'm too lazy to write an extended review, but I felt this printer deserved a kind word. It's a great printer, especially for the price, PLUS a rebate. But even unqualified by cost, it still turns out great photos, and quickly too. Prints on BOTH sides of the paper! (It's CRAZY! You've got to see this duplex WITHOUT you having to flip the paper!) Another incredible feature (at this price-point) is the two paper-handling trays.
The cons are minimal. On the negative side, after you make improvements/enhancements, you are FORCED to save the photo in a proprietary Canon file format. This means that you can't see the corrected photos in a standard JPG-viewing program. A quirk, more than an actual CON, is the fact that you have to flip down a door on the front of the unit when you're ready to print. You could leave it down all the time, but it looks "wrong" to not close it. If you buy this printer, you'll know what I mean. No biggie, but I thought I'd mention it while I had the chance.
Pros: Uses very little ink and prints on CDs (at least in the UK) Cons: No USB lead included - as per usual >:(
A great printer, the most impressive feature for me being the undertray feeder. This is exactly the kind of system you find on photocopiers and colour laser printers and I was surprised to find this feature on a sub £100 inkjet.
Print quality is excellent, although not mind blowing. Speed is very good and printing is very quiet. The software is very good and setup is easy. The appearance of the printer is a little odd, but you get used to it. It feels very well made.
The CMYK cartridges can be replaced separately and ink lasts a very long time, which is definitely the biggest plus with this printer.
Finally, the printer came with an attachment to print directly onto DVDs and CDs, so I don't know why a lot of reviews for this printer say it doesn't.
Good printer for a good price by bashleyf ,May 17 '05
Pros: Two paper trays, easy to use Cons: No USB cord included with printer, the printer's kind of big.
My favorite thing by far is that the printer has two paper loading trays. My last printer was by Canon and I was always switching around the regular printer paper and the photo paper. I love that with this one I can just load the photo paper into the bottom paper tray and not have to move anything. The printer works well and is fairly quiet. I bought my last Canon printer brand new and within a year it broke. I've only had this one for two weeks, so I'm not quite sure how this one in with durability.
Pros: Very fast for both colour and B/W
High print quality
Price Cons: None
After reading several reviews, and needing a new printer, I purchased one of these when they were on special at Officeworks for AUS$199.
Absolutely impressed with the speed, print quality and ease of use. The quality of the images is fantastic, and the fact that you load up A4 paper in the back, and photo paper in the cassette makes it very flexible. Not to mention that you than then stuff in a printable CD/DVD as well.
I'm a little confused that some people report that you can't print on CD as being a Con, but here in Aus the unit can cater for this. Maybe a case of different specs for different markets.
Very highly recommended unit, and it has well exceeded my expectations.

Pros: Easy set up, Duplex printing is GREAT! Cons: None
I was in the market for a basic printer, just for school and personal use. The feature that really sold me on this printer was the Duplex printing, since I am a law student who prints a lot of cases. So, after 4 weeks of school, I can already say that this printer delivers as promised. The Duplex printing works well, and has already saved me about 100 sheets of paper. Printing is quick too. Canon sells this as a photo printer, but that is not what I needed, so I have no opinion on whether the photo print quality is good. I have also found that this printer does not shoot pages all over the place when it spits them out. I found it very simple to set up, following the enclosed directions, and that is a big thing for me, as I am not technically or mechanically inclined.
The only thing that I am not totally crazy about is that you have to remember to flip down the front cover for the paper output tray.
Highly recommended!
Pros: Everything, especially the ink usage. Cons: none
I had the i320 and got two and a half good years out of it and I just purchased the PIXMA iP3000 and I couldn't be happier. The ink usage for printing is unbelievable as well as the quality of the prints. I would recommend this printer to anyone. I was very happy with my i320 prints but I'm amazed with the quality and quietness of the i3000.
