Pros: Nice package, nice features, pretty screen, cool remote control software Cons: WiFi and bluetooth not enough for universal connectivity, "short" battery life even in standby mode
I just received the HP iPaq rx3715 as a gift. I must say that I am thrilled to have the gift - this is one of the nicest I have received. The rx3715 is a nice choice for a high end PDA. I have been a user of PDA's for many years - I had an early ...
Pros: Dual wireless, large memory, superb battery life, consumer IR Cons: Price, annoying HP defaults, no VGA screen, not as "pretty"
: Introduction : I have now been using the HP iPAQ rx3715 "Mobile Media Companion" for about 3 months and have grown extremely fond of it. My previous PDA was the HP iPAQ h1930 and in my review, there will be comparisons to that Pocket PC ...
Pros: Compact size, on board memory, excellent battery life, expansion capabilities Cons: Plastic case a bit of a letdown after the Palm; a bit pricey
My rx3715 replaced my broken Palm Vx almost a year ago. I debated whether to go the monochrome route with another Palm (less costly, better battery life in general), or upgrade to a color device. Features I was looking for, in rough order: ...
Pros: A nicely sized unit with adequate power to handle games, music, and schoolwork. Cons: Closing a program sends it to the background... just silly.
What separates my review from every other review here is my purpose for purchasing the IPAQ 3715 that reason being for mobile entertainment and limited school functions. Basically this is a college students review. Read on to find out ...
When shopping for a PDA, I based 90% of my decision off user reviews, so I hope this helps. First off, I will admit that this was my first PDA, so I have little to compare it to. HOWEVER, I consider myself a fairly tech-savvy person, and I definitely ...
Pros: Small, light, and bright. Large iPAQ File Store memory. Cons: Buggy/crashes. Erattic Bluetooth. WiFi nearly useless. No flip-cover.
** Experience It's been somewhat frustrating using this device. I bought it when my old PDA got stolen. I didn't buy it for the camera feature, and that's a good thing as the camera is next-to-useless. Images taken from the camera module are very dark ...
Pros: Nothing at all Cons: terrible keyboard, lack of response on touch screen on right side, no msn messenger.
I bought this product and took it back 3 hrs later for my money back. I found that the keyboard was horrible, i couldn;t even type in my username and password to enter my email---i'd poke at one letter with the stylus and get a different letter! it literally seemed impossible to me to use, some of the buttons such as delete and the back arrow didn;t even work. Several times i'd try to tap the stylus on something to terminate a program and it didn;t recognize that i was tapping it. I also didn;t feel the need to have a pocket pc that doubles as a remote control for household devices which this device has.
Mobile PC, more like a compact camera. by robertbeecroft ,Mar 16 '05
Pros: Good Camera, almost like a modern compact camera. Good quality mp3 player. Pocket sized. Cons: Screen may get damaged easily.
I aquired my ipaq mobile media companion around a month ago, as a first time pda user i found it quite easy to use, i like the wifi connection and the bluetooth file transfer. The quality of the display is really good. The Camera is the best feature, really handy almost like a modern compact camera.
during the 13 month the screen went blank. Sent it in for diagnostics....they claimed screen failure due to excessive pressure. Wanted over 250$ to repair. Unit was babied for 13 months, warranty lasted 12 months. I will never buy another HP product.
Two more things: Skype and Movies by lnavas ,Dec 12 '05
Pros: Nice features - Good battery life (3 full length movies!) Cons: Some of the soft included is a bit crude or useless. (i.e. remote control)
I just wish to add two points I have not seen mentioned in the previous reviews.
First you can download Skype for PocketPC and make phone calls from a WiFi network. This is really cool!
Another one is to rip movies from DVDs and load them into the SD card to watch during flights. Movies take about 200MB so I can fit three in my 1Gig SD card. That leaves some room for a few songs and an audio book (from Audible.com).
