Pros: 2 headphone jacks, great idea, cheap Cons: There is no built in memory, low quality video, you get what you pay for
I really like the idea of this product. Handheld Entertainment had a great idea of making a portable mp3 and video player, but there were a few big problems with this device. There is no point in buying the video unit without having any built in ...

Pros: Small, clean video, widely-available battery power, uses common SD cards, two headphone jacks Cons: Plays only it's own videos, slow JPEG decoding, sparse documentation, cheap construction
After a significant amount of hassle getting my ZVue in time for the holiday season, it finally arrived. While the initial delay might have been due to the holiday/release rush, the phone support (on two separate calls to their cross-country office) was ...

HandHeld Entertainment Zvue!
by vladman ,Dec 11 '03
Pros: Small, inexpensive, looks good, sounds great. Something new to show off and give as gifts. Cons: Library too small, can't download(but will be able to soon)
I just got my Zvue!s and think they are the coolest presents I can give my kids and family and friends this Christmas. It's a new audio/video player that fits in my pocket, so I can have it anywhere. For $99, it blows away anything out there that is new, technical, and digital. It's a new thing that everyone who has seen it goes nuts. I don't know when more video cards will come out, but I'm sure they will. Hopefully some instructional ones that adults will appreciate.

REALLY REALLY REALLY COOL
by pstrayer ,Jan 15 '04
Pros: The only AFFORDABLE personal video player on the market [$99], Plays great video! Cons: Waiting for the MP4 upgrade [one month?] so I can play my own videos.
This is the ONLY personal video player that is affordable and I got two of them for Christmas. All the other personal video players cost $500-700.
I got one for myself and one for my 13 year old nephew. He LOVES it. He can use MP3 audio as well as watch videos. I [age 47] wasn't familiar with the content, but the titles are very popular with my nephew and I'm looking forward to giving him some new ZCard titles for his upcoming birthday. Everyone I show it to wants one. I recommend it HIGHLY! A really device and very hip, cause nobody really has them yet.

Zvue: New and Improved
by jdsundstrom ,Oct 28 '05
Pros: DIVX, MP3 and WMA support. Cons: No random shuffle or playlist support.
I recently picked up this little gadget and fell in love with it almost immediately. A lot has changed since the product was introduced in 2003. The price has been reduced to $99.00. The unit now supports DIVX video. It also supports Windows Media audio. What is apparent is that this unit has a great deal of support and on-going development associated with it. I can't wait for the new Zvues to be introduced in 2006!

Great sound, great price
by rizzle ,Jan 20 '04
Pros: Great sound, great picture/color. Small, easy to use. Cons: Not enough content. MPEG-4 will be great when it is available.
I really like the sound, and I am mostly impressed with the picture. For $99, it is pretty good, and imagine as time goes on, this sort of thing will get better

Anybody Home?
by daddygeek ,Jan 08 '04
Pros: Specs Look Excellent and price makes it practical for everyday. Cons: Does it actually exist? Can't seem to get one...
I placed my order BEFORE their Dec 15 deadline for Holiday shipping and have not so much as received an e-mail other than the automated response stating a message will be sent when the product is shipped.
I am also not even getting any response to my technical support requests.
Also, according to their web site you can't even copy directly to the player with the USB cable yet. You need a seperate device to transfer info to a media card.
What's the use?
I believe this product will be one of the dreams that DIES due to a PR engine that is revving a LOT louder than the actual product. :-(
Shame. I thought it sounded too good to be true...
