Wireless All-In-Wonder!

by skipcar , Oct 12 '04
Pros: Networking ability. Fax capability.
Cons: Setup can be tricky. It isn't cheap to buy.
Backstory About a year ago, our previous printer (HP882C) stopped printing color properly. It was a serious pain because we take tons of digital photos of our children. We kept thinking that we'd get a new printer sooner or later. Well, it ...

Software ruins an otherwise awesome printer

by joda_b , Dec 12 '04
Pros: Outstanding printing and ink utilization. Wireless printing. Updated software fixes the cons below.
Cons: Horrible Software!!! A burden on the operating system. Poor network performance.
We've tried this printer with 3 different computers and the operation was identical on all 3 machines, so I'll use my PC as the example. After loading the 500MB of software on my machine (AMD XP 2800 with 512MB RAM, Windows XP and 160GB hard drive), we ...

hardware good, software bad

by woodpost , Jan 17 '04
Pros: Solid design and construction Great featureset Easy to use
Cons: Terrible drivers/software
This should be called the HP Photosmart POS 2510 instead, cause it's a serious POS. When looking at the reviews before i purchased, i read one fellow who said that it seems like 2 different companies made the software and hardware. I thought at the ...

This is the printer I have been waiting for.

by raypendergraph , May 20 '04
Pros: A real all in one (and it works both ways).
Cons: Communications software sometimes crashes (no biggie).
This is an awesome product. Good job HP. I was surprised to see any bad rating on this product. As far as computer peripherals go it was a snap. The Ethernet and wireless access is *awesome*. I have a home Ethernet network and this thing is a must... one ...

Great concept but horrible software and support

by coddipm , Jun 02 '04
Pros: Great concept Good construction
Cons: Bloated non-functional software Horrible support
I've been looking at this printer for some time and had high expectations as I've had good luck with HP products in the past. The physical setup of the printer was straightforward - I chose to used the wired network interface. But when I got to the ...

Good all-n-1 poor software

by epiniontc , Mar 22 '04
Pros: Good hardware with a TON of features.
Cons: Requires above average computer literacy to properly configure a networked system.
I bought this all-in-one 2 days ago and I have to say that most of the reviews here are right on. The hardware is top notch, but the software is unbelievable bloatware. My setup is a DSL/802.11b router configuration with the 2510 hardwired to the ...

Wireless printing? I don't think so...

by technoguy10202 , Jan 09 '05
Pros: Lot of nice theoretical features.
Cons: Installed programs take up a lot of drive space Just doesn't work well
I purchased this printer at the same time I purchased a new PC system (Compaq aka HP). As I have this computer in my kitchen, I didn't want to place a bulky printer on the counter as well. I thought the idea of wireless capabilities was a good one since ...

HP Wins Again

by rkaufmann87 , Dec 01 '03
Pros: Great print quality Easy to install Extremely intuitive
Cons: ADF would be nice one in awhile.
This is my third HP AIO printer, when the 2510 came out I knew I wanted one to compliment my wireless network. Yes I only have two computers on my network but printing from my notebook was a nuisance and I really wanted 6 color photo printing. ...

Don't waste your time.

by ndpuri , Jul 31 '04
Pros: wireless printing, good hardware
Cons: crashes my OS half the time, stopped working after 1 week!
I bought this one week ago without reading any reviews first. I really liked the idea of wireless printing without Bluetooth, which I don't have. I got it home and set it up, following the directions EXACTLY. I attempted to print color photos. The ...

Simply Wow, Feature rich beast.

by fadywwf316 , Oct 30 '03
Pros: Wireless access point, LCD screen, photo quality pictures.
Cons: No sheetfed scanner like its predecessors, can kill your ink of course.
Well just to let you guys know right off the bat, this isn't a HP 7960 by any means. You may think, well it takes the same ink and prints using the same resolution. However, the high end HP 7960 has one main difference, it takes your 57 tricolor ink, your ...

What a Complete Nightmare!!!!!!

by dodododo , Feb 07 '04
Pros: Print quality, tech support
Cons: Network capability, tech support
I bought my psc 2510 one month ago and I am returning it tomorrow. I have been on the phone with tech support for over 12 hours on three separate phone calls. The longest being a 5 1/2 hour marathon, that didn't fix my problem. The big issue seems to be ...

Great Machine, Software is nightmare

by ksg32198 , May 31 '04
Pros: Prints, scans and faxes quick, reads a lot of common media cards.
Cons: Software, software, software. Slowwww bootups/shutdowns after loading.
I bought this printer because of its networking abilities with my wired/wireless network. The 2510 has its ups and downs. I use a linksys wireless router using the DHCP and the 2510 in wired and wireless mode, worked with no intervention, and worked quite ...

Could be great
by roth ,Jun 02 '07
Pros: wireless, all in one device
Cons: SOFTWARE
I needed a new scanner and printer so figured the 2510 was the best way to go because of my wireless network. I had no problems setting the printer up and printing, faxing, scanning or copying, but the software it comes with needs to be thrown away. I am about to remove all the software and just go with the drivers to see how it works.

Great Printer....best I've seen
by dssoren ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: too many to list....just buy it
Cons: Price, but look what you're getting Required hard drive space is almost 1gig
They advertise 4-in-1 multifunction printer, but if you add in the memory card reader that allows you to move pictures and data to any computer on the network, it's really a 5-in-1 printer. What a deal. I couldn't find a better equiped printer on the market.

Installation was flawless. Previous reviews had said there were install problems, but I had none. The key is to follow the directions....everything was very straight forward.

Wireless network works like a champ. I plugged in the printer in every room of my house to test and it connected every time. What a great option!

Highly recommend this printer to anyone. Disregard previous reviews about install problems, they probably didn't follow the directions.
