Pros: Nice odor, can be hung for storage, flushable Cons: Ineffective on hard water stains
Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Toilet Brush System comes with 4 disposable biodegradable sponges and 1 brush with a 19" handle. The pads are 2 1/5" x 1 3/4". The price is $6.99 in K Mart. Personally, I love the idea of using biodegradable products but we ...
Pros: clean smell, biodegradable sponges, hang brush up when finished Cons: resealable pouch not easy to reseal
After reading the negative review on this product here, I knew it was time for me to set the record straight. I had purchased this product several weeks ago but inevitably never got around to reviewing it til just now. So for those of you wondering if I ...
Pros: It didn't cost me anything Cons: It was useless and caused my toilet to be stopped up.
I am sure that you have seen the commercials advertising the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Toilet Cleaning System. You know, the ones that make it seem like an easy and efficient way to clean your toilet without ever having to touch toilet water ...
Pros: Smells nice Cons: small pads, not any better then a normal toilet cleaner
I never thought I would write a review about a toilet cleaner but I just cant help myself. I feel I must alert the world to this waste of money cleaner called The Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Toilet System. I bought this awhile ago and ...
Pros: Easy to use, leaves toilet clean and smelling fresh Cons: The refill pads could be cheaper
Living with three small boys and one big boy, cleaning toilets is not something I enjoy at all. (Sorry for the negativity men, but it is what it is) However, I have been using the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush for almost two years and I ...
Pros: The cleaner smelled good and was a pretty blue color. Cons: Flimsy wand, didn't clean like my old tried and true cleaner.
Since I don't have city water, I can only write a review based on how this worked for me. It didn't. I have just the slightest bit of rust in my well water. I can't taste it, I can't smell it, but if you let the water sit somewhere long enough, you will ...
Pros: Smells pleasant; you never have to touch anything gross Cons: Doesn’t help with stains caused by hard water
Why I bought Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Toilet Brush System: I think most people will agree that cleaning a toilet is just about the most disgusting cleaning task out there. I always hated those hard bristle brushes that go in those ...
Pros: smells nice Cons: takes a lot of time, doesn't work.
Like most people who've spent money on this system, I was pretty excited by a toilet brush I could throw away. The system It's a stick. You attach a cleaner pad to the end. You get 4 cleaner pad refills with the starter kit. You wet the pad in ...
Pros: Design of being able to flush germy brush. Cons: Doesn't clean well.
Cleaning the toilet is not pleasant, but I like to do it often to keep it clean. The easier the better. Nothing easier than these! But...do they work? Well... The Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush starter kit comes with four biodegradable cleaner-infused ...
Pros: Good for handicapped people who have a hard time reaching and bending. Cons: pads could be stiffer, wand could be more curved for better under the rim cleaning.
I bought this system last year. I happen to like it. I am confined to a wheelchair and this makes it easy for me to clean my toilet bowl.
The stick is long enough that I don't have to bend over, killing myself or my back. The paper "cleaners" could use some improvement - like being a little stiffer so they will scrub better - but for now it will do; and the wand could be more curved to reach better under the toilet rim. They are easy to attach - just center the "cleaner" and click the button on the stick. It smells nice, has a nice blue color and I haven't had any problems with it stopping up my toilet in over a year -- and I live in subsidized housing.
I think I paid about $7 for the entire first kit and the refills are about $4 for 12. When I run out of refills and have't got the money for new ones, I turn to Brawny. Fold it in four, attach it to the wand, douse it with Lysol or any other household cleaner, and you're in business.
Bubbles might scrub, but this isn't a brush! by wizey1 ,Apr 19 '05
Pros: Flushable "brush" Cons: Flimsy, Uneasy to maneuver & Doesn't really seem to scrub.
I'm very disappointed in this "brush" system. I've used Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaners in the past and was pleased with the results, so after trying another brand of brush for my master bath, I decided to buy this one for my guest bathroom. Unfortunately I will be throwing it away as soon as I'm done with the "brushes" that came with the system.
When I first used the "brush" I was expecting more of an actual firmness too it when it hit the water, but it actually seems more like wadded up toilet paper with chemicals on the end of a stick.
As I cleaned under the "lip" of the toilet, the brush seemed very flimsy and uneasy to maneuver for a good clean.
I also didn't see very many bubbles or fizzing or anything that I expected. =(
Pros: Disposable. Works well in soft water. Cons: Difficult to find sufficient refills.
Several months ago I deliberately threw away all three of our nasty toilet brushes that sit in their own bacteria-ridden container next to all three of our toilets! I've been trying all the new disposable systems. The Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush system is by far my favorite because I don't have to carry a dripping scrubbie over to the bathroom waste basket for disposal. I can just release it and flush it away. We live in the northwest on the coast in an urban area with soft water. I have no trouble cleaning the 20-year-old toilets even when they look very gross. Somehow my kids haven't figured out how to use the flush handle. If you find the system doesn't work for you, it's because you need to use a system that handles hard water residue. And of course, you may not want to take a chance with a septic system. The only problem is finding a sufficient supply of the refills.
Like Cleaning With a Wet Paper Towel by novalani ,Oct 26 '04
Pros: nothing Cons: flimsy, unable to scrub anything
Having previously tried one brand of disposable toilet brush (I don't remember the brand, but the brush looked like a blue sponge) and not being overly impressed, I decided to try the scrubbing bubbles system. Let me say that I would have been better off using a wet paper towel to clean my toilet. The quality of the "brush" is poor and flimsy. It is not firm enough to scrub anything. I was merely wiping the bowl with a wadded up paper towel attached to a stick. I could have put that together myself instead of buying it.
I will try the clorox brand next to see if it works any better than this one.
Pros: After a lot of elbow grease and time, my bowl was clean. Cons: THESE BRUSHES CLOGGED TWO DIFFERENT TOILETS, DO NOT USE OR FLUSH THESE BRUSHES!!
This so called Fresh Brush Flushable is not. The curved handle just cleans one way only. Brush when wet is too soft and takes a lot of effort to clean. When I flushed the brush, my toilet backed up. Don't waste your money with this failure. Can't even get to their web site to complain.
Pros: Disposable pad - no disgusting germy brush to store. Cons: Cleaning pad too soft - no friction.
This is a disappointing product. It may be wonderful that the pad can be flushed or thrown away so that you don't have to keep a germy, stained, yucky brush around all the time, but it doesn't equal the scrubbing power of an old-fashioned, stiff and prickly, plastic-bristle toilet scrub brush. (try saying that 3 times fast!) The pad is just too soft. How are you supposed to get your toilet clean with that?! You need friction! You need scrubbing power! I switched to the Clorox Toilet Wand because its pads ARE the scrubby type, and I'm much more satisfied. You can't flush the Clorox pads, though.
