Do not attempt ordering from this operation. It is run by a guy out of his apartment who has no intention of notifying the publishers. I reported my problem to the BBB since Mags for Less is listed on their site as satisfactory. I got a written response from the BBB but then couldn't even get a reply to a phone call or e-mails for follow-up. Never got a return phone call from a guy named Jeff Parker who runs this thing, and he ignored my e-mails.

Obviously any fool can call themselves a distributor of magazines and be listed with the BBB. The BBB is worthless too.

HORRIBLE-DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!

I was hoping someone would be able to help me on here. I got two magazine subscriptions as a gift for my husband. Immediately after my order, the money was taken out of my PayPal account, and then I received an email stating I would not be receiving the first issue of the first subscription until 60 days later. The second subscription would be 90 days. Well, I waited and the magazines haven't come. The worst part is I can not get a refund through Paypal because they only handle disputes within 45 days of the transaction. Does anyone know if there is something I can do? I'm wondering since Paypal took the money out of my bank to pay for these subscriptions, is it possible to have my bank try to get the money from Paypal, and then make Paypal actually get reimbursed from magsforless?
Regardless, DO NOT purchase subscriptions from them. Of course, if you are reading this, you probably already have.
Why can't people make a living the right way??

Ordered several magazines in JAN. 2008, I have received none. No reply from them to numerous emails. They are a fraud. 1. File a complaint with the Attorney General of your state. 2. The FTC 3. Your Senators of your state. Complain, tell the truth and Magsforless will be all in the PAST.  THEY WILL ALL BE IN JAIL AND BANKRUPT.

I ordered three magazines in May 2006 and have not received any of them as of Oct 2006. Their "customer service" explained in an e-mail they had made a mistake in submitting my subscription information to the publisher (which is what they are in business to do) but they sure didn't have any trouble submitting my credit card information. I get no response to my e-mails. Go to their help center and type in "refund" and see for yourself. You will get nowhere. Any of the good reviews of MagsForLess are fakes planted by MagsForLess.

I was also scammed by MagsForLess. I purchased "People" magazine in July 2006 and never received the subscription. A check of my account showed that $86.99 was immediately withdrawn from my bank. I repeatedly tried to contact the company by e-mail at questions@magsforless.com but never received an answer. i could not find a snail mail address or phone number on web page to contact.

After a search, I discovered that others have suffered the same fate and followed the advice of Rich Corinth (also scammed), by sending information to Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau. I also contacted James@magsforless.com but never received a response. Megan@magsforless.com is no longer a valid address. The phone numbers given by Rich led only to answering machines.

In the attempt to get my money back I filed a complaint against magsforless with my bank.

I urge others who may have been scammed to also contact the FTC and BBB. The more complaints lodged against this company the greater the chance someone will be brought to task about their unscrupulous business practices. Companies like this give E-Commerce a very bad rap.

Two years ago I ordered from magsforless - not a single problem. I received my magazines within 6 weeks.

Subscription renewal was up in Jan. 07. I reordered and its been more than 10 weeks since I have not received my magazines. I sent numerous emails no response.

As of today I was going to contact my credit card company and I came across this press release that was release yesterday March 13, 2007. Hopefully this can be resolved soon.

The service is horrible. I order two magazines in DECEMBER and neither was even ordered --- but my credit card was immediately billed. I had a phone number but they changed it and won't reply to my emails. I'm only out $30 bucks but it is still very frustrating.

I was scammed by them as well. I emailed them several times and never got once response. I has been 6 months for my wife and 4 months for me.

I finally threatened them with click fraud. Click fraud is clicking on their ads in Google (search for cheap magazines) in which they pay per click. They then responded in less than 1 hour with an email saying it can take up to 20 weeks for magazines, though my wife has waited 24 weeks now.

If I do not hear from them this week, I will be contacting Google to let them know this company is a scam and taking people's money without sending them any magazines.

Stay away from this company.

Beware of Placing Any Orders with MagsForLess! Abysmal Company!

In April 2007, I placed an order with MagsForLess for a one-year subscription to The New Yorker magazine for $19.95. Not a single issue of the magazine arrived. I "opened a ticket" and left a status inquiry on the MagsForLess Web site, but received only meaningless, bureaucratic, run-around replies. This is an excellent example of the adage that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Following my original posting, I performed extensive on-line research and located addresses for Mr. Simchai, the President of MagsForLess, in Mamaroneck, NY and in Florida. I then informed "Customer Service" at MagsForLess that I would disclose Mr. Simchai's address to the Federal Trade Commission, the New York Attorney General, and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, unless I received an immediate credit of the $19.95 I had paid MagsforLess in April 2007 for a one-year subscription to the New Yorker. I received a prompt response that the $19.95 would be credited to my credit card and, in fact, it was. I would be happy to supply Mr. Simchai's address information, upon request, to any Epinions.com consumer who would like to have it.

I ordered a magazine subscription from these guys back in August, and they assured me it would only take 8 weeks at most to start. It never came. I contacted customer service and they said they would fix it. Another 8 weeks went by with still nothing. All in all, ended up contacting Megan at their customer service department about 5 or 6 times. No help what so ever. Even got a response from Andrew Melville, the VP, Customer Support, and he didn't help. It's been 10 months now, with receiving nothing, and they won't refund the money. Don't get burned, go somewhere else to buy your magazines.

I have ordered 5 or 6 subscriptions from magsforless.com. They are almost always the best value available - I don't know how they can be so cheap.

I was sceptical because the prices almost seem to cheap to be true but i've found them to be reliable as they've delivered on my orders.
