I ordered THE SHIELD FINGER GUARD which had **** glowing reviews on their website. This product was one of the worst baby safety products I ever had. Although they are supposed to stay in place while opening or closing doors, they would pop off as soon as the door was moved. I returned the product, but was out the cost of shipping.
I tried to post a negative review for this product, but they do not post negative reviews. I do not trust a merchant that only publishes positive feedback. I am very disappointed because I often rely on the posted feedback to see what others thought of a product. This is a very deceptive practice.
The selection of products and overall website is fine, but do not purchase anything on this website if you do not already know the performance of the product. Or, be sure to research the product from a more reputable source that will supply both positive and negative feedback. I can only assume they write their own reviews without even testing out these products. I find this very disappointing in particular for a company that sells baby safety products.

One Step Ahead has very innovative toys, accessories and products. However, their customer service and delivery speed leave something to be desired. When they say that it takes seven ten business days to get a product to you, expect it on day 9 or 10. When you call to ask for an update, they explained that they have no way of tracking their orders that they ship. This is true whether you order one thing, or five. But, has not stopped me from ordering products from them, I have learned to maintain a certain level of patience, or to shop somewhere else if someone else carries the product.

Have bought quite a few items from OneStepAhead. Quality of products has always been great, fast shipping. Only concern has been shipping costs. The amount charged on the invoice (and to credit card) has never matched what the website says and emailed invoice states. Sometimes has been higher, sometimes lower. Had a problem with 1 order - only 1 of 2 items in box, but invoice clearly showed both had been shipped. Phone call with Customer Service and they had second item shipped out immediately.

I've shopped with One Step Ahead several times now and purchased some great products there that I really like - I have not seen some of these products anywhere else. But my experience has not been all positive. In my last order I received a Potty Watch whose batteries were on their last legs - it worked for about 5 minutes. And the business does not seem to publish reviews that are less than glowing. Several times now, I have attempted to publish a non-controversial 3-star review there, and it has not appeared either time (despite being registered and logged in at the site). I have lost trust in this merchant and will not be shopping with them again.

One Step Ahead has high quality & innovative products for infants & children. They are a parents dream! They guarantee all of their products. You can return any item if you just don't like it, even if you've used it several times. All of my orders have been completely accurate, but I have found the shipping to be quite slow.

I have been very disappointed. I ordered an item they reported as being in stock, and two weeks later I'm still waiting for it to ship. When I contact customer service, I get curt replies that the item will ship in the next 1-2 days, but it never does. Hopefully my son won't have outgrown the toy by the time it arrives, assuming it ever does. I expect better service, and I don't plan to ever order from this company again.

I ordered a bike seat from onestepahead.com, and so far I'm pretty disappointed with them. Their website states that they ship items via FedEx ground, and it takes 5-9 business days. I never received an email confirmation (therefore I have no receipt) from them, and when I called, the customer service folks were pretty rude. Each time I called, I got a different estimate of delivery time ranging from 4-10 business days. And it's not from the day you order, it's from the day they finally get around to shipping it (which takes FOREVER). They also told me they don't use FedEx--they just drop it in the mail. If you BEG (and I do mean BEG) for a tracking number, they'll give it to you, but the USPS doesn't provide up to date tracking info. All it says is that they were contacted to EXPECT the package for shipping.
This is the absolute LAST time I'm ordering from this vendor. I should have shopped around!

My order was received much earlier than expected and I so appreciate it. My twin grandsons came to see us unexpectedly over the week-end and they used them for their afternoon nap.....they loved them....made them feel "special" and Nana had a "cool" bed for them.
I will be ordering some other items, now that I know the quality & service behind the sale!

I found no way to track the order as it was swnt USPS and they only tell you when your order has been delivered. They do not give the info. that ups gives as to where the order is on its route nor when you can expect delivery. Read more

This item was from Leaps and Bounds. It shipped on 3/8/05 and was recieved on 3/17/05. This was just within the time frame given to me by the customer service phone rep.,but not on the site. there is no way to track an order sent by USPS and no way to tell when it is expected. I would prefere shipping via UPS of Fed X where you can trace the progress of the order. Read more

I felt the timeliness of the order was great and the swaddle me's which I am giving as gifts were perfect. The labrador baby walker was not entirely what I expected. The picture indicated that you could push the baby on the toy showing what appeared to be a telesoping back handle but it was not telesoping and there is no way for an adult to push the baby without hunching over and suffering back pain.
